I have been following the LCHF style of eating (replacing refined carbohydrates with saturated fats) for seven months now and my blood chemistry improves every month. Last month's results: LDL 81, HDL 81, Triglycerides 89. Ratios of almost 1-to-1.
I have made these twice. Once using the uploader's recipe, and once replacing the 1/4 cup of water with 1/4 cup of unsweetened whipping cream. The latter was much fluffier and much richer.
I used palm-kernal oil (a highly saturated vegetable fat) for the oil in the recipe and fried the pancakes in the same type of oil.
Pretty amazing results using the whipping cream, almost the same that I ate as a child.
i tried this recipe and its really really good. I bought my almond flour from OhNuts.com. Thanks for posting this recipe. I've been craving pancakes for so long and now i can have them without the guilt.
I tried this and loved them! I crave them now. So easy to make. For syrup, try Walden Farms Pancake Syrup. No carbs, sugar, fat, calories or choleterol but tons of taste! Thanks!
If you want to do the right thing when doing low carb..stay away from as much processed food as possible and eat foods that are not "empty"...though you want to lose weight you also want to make sure your body is recieving the nutrition it needs.
STAY AWAY FROM PROCESSED FOODS! It works against you not for you!
how big are the pancakes? I've made them kind of like that but mixed in flax meal, I smashed up some blueberrys with Splenda and microwaved it into a syrup, was very tasty.
Yes they are! 3 of them with 2 eggs can carry me from breakfast to supper if I get busy and do not have time for lunch! Prob only 650 calories for that meal and lots of protein!

ugh! you use splenda. Truvia is much better and it's REAL not fake, it doesn't spike blood sugar levels
dogsarebetter 3 years ago
Then use Truvia instead of Splenda...use what ever the hell you want to use I really don't care
