  • I have this & it's well worth it.

    Kundenrezensionen:

  • @iamnikon how do you make videos like this? They're awesome and your just convinced me to buy the Nikon d5100 over the rebel t3i Great video :D

  • 98Guitar TECH, I am going on the many reviews that I have read, one of the main points being the better (slightly!) image taken by the Nikon. If you have access to Canon lens, this could be a good reason to go for the 600D. I traded in a Lumix GH1 I had and bought the D1500, only one thing I have to get over, on the GH1 view finder there are eye sensors which allow you to auto switch between v/finder and 3" screen, on the D1500 there is a lever!! Well, nothing is perfect! Best wishes.

  • d5100 ultimate !

  • I'm saving money for it. But I am doubting between Nikon D3100 and the D5100. Does someone know which is better??

  • @CuPeCaKeJe d5100 over 3100 anydays

  • @CuPeCaKeJe Well obviously the 5100 is better but it also costs more. The biggest plus for me is the rotating LCD that always comes in handy. Also, it has more room for growth as you improve your photography skills. I'm waiting for the Canon 650D thats due out this week. Gonna see how good that is. Big plus for Nikon over Canon for me is the Nikon has a smaller crop factor of 1.5 so buying landscape lenses to suit what I need gets cheaper. If you want it more for telephoto then the Canon is best

  • High performance? But it feels like plastic, has a very small grip and its not as user friendly as the Canon 600D

  • @eireannsg Yeap, high performance. There's a reason it's number #13 in camera sensor rankings, since it's using the D7000 sensor. Image quality and Dynamic range is superb. It actually feels more solid than the T3i. I just feel that the T3 and T3i series are a bit toy-like. But ergonomics is always subjective, but one thing we know is that, the D5100 is hands down a high performer. Happy holidays

  • @heavenlyguardian Well the FX format sensor of the D700 would have been better but with more pixels...guess thats what we get with the D800 once its out?

Toy like: Actually the D5100's grip is quite small and feels toy like. When holding the T3i at least you know you have something in you hands.

  • on my wish list

  • I got this camera for 2 months, never regret buying it,Such a good camera, for all situations! Go for it!

  • Thought long and hard, which camera, the Canon D600 or Nikon5100, it's the Nikon for me! Both super camera's, but the Nikon has a slight lead. Now to get the money together !

  • @barnacleify can u please tell me why the nikon has the lead as I'm stuck, atm I'm going for the canon as my family already has 2 lenses

  • @98GuitarTECH

The two cameras are very similar, the Canon is better with regard to videos, whereas the Nikon has the better high ISO performance, in the end I normally would say take both of the cameras in your hands and buy the one which feels better in your opinion (I preferred the D5100, but that's subjective).

Logically if your family already has Canon lenses (which?) it basically makes sense for you to also buy a Canon camera, in order to be able to use also those lenses.

  • someone want to lend me some money? :)

  • just received 5 minutes ago :) damn excited

  • I'd like my first D-SLR camera to be the D5100. Right now I have a Canon s90 and want to upgrade to the Canon s100 when it arrives on the scene next month. But unless there's a big improvement, I'll go with the Nikon D-SLR.

  • @MrNYCman530

hi..5100 is ma first DSLr....but think lot before buying. its a SUPERB cam, but only downside is...well. its kinda pro..so the controls and settings may b intimidating at first, ie, it will take som time before u could unleash its complete creative potential.....

and trust me.... Nikon lenses are light years ahead of canon counterparts..

  • Im going to buy it tonight!!! yipppiiee.....

  • This camera is so beautiful! I want it so much!!

  • really nice dslr!

  • Is this music made for this advert? If not, where can i find it?

  • 8 people are camera shy

  • Y Yo que apenas compre una d60

  • I'm so confused. Can someone pls tell me which camera is better Canon 550d or Nikon d5100 ?

  • @farah8320 same confusion dude... cant decide which one to buy :( everyone keeps saying "they're both good... buy whichever camera suits your need" i still dont know what it means...

  • @coolave007 it means that it depends what you are going to do with the camera. if you are going to record video, go with Canon. Canon is the king when it comes to video. But if you are more into photography, go with Nikon. Nikon is ok in video, great in photography. Canon is great in video, ok in photography. If you want to take simple family shots, you won't notice any difference. If you want to take+edit+publish many photos, go with Nikon, its image quality and ISO performance are excellent.

  • @farah8320 Canon if you are more into videography, Nikon if you are more into photography.

  • @ashkibala1 Thanks for the reply. Nikon it is then :)

  • I'm getting this for my birthday :D

  • i bought mine yesterday. I CANT WAIT TIL IT ARRIVES. hoooooray for me

  • i start to starving now to get this.

  • i have a Q.. is it good in capturing moving things? like a bird's flying will it capture the moment in a way i could see his wings or something?

  • i got myself this for my 20th birthday :D i'm so glad i <3 it!

  • No manual exposure control in a movie mode, why Nikon?...

  • Just got mine:) I love it!!!

  • Done my research!

    Positive review!

What the hell, I going to buy it ASAP!

  • Do u distribute Free Sample :P???

  • このカメラは最高ですね・・新しい機能が素晴らしいです

  • when's this released in australia? or had it already been..?

  • Dear Santa...

  • i teared a tiny bit inside because this is too beautiful to be true *sniff*

  • omg. my dream camera right here. wow i wish i could afford this :( haha where is a young girl going to get the money to purchase this camera? wow maybe like a present for like the next five birthdays :P

  • am in looooove!!!!!!

  • Hi I'm clueless in photography.. can someone give me a comparison, pros and cons between d5100 and d3100?

  • thanks bear grylls

  • And no, the 600D isn't even near the top 10. The top 10 include the high end cameras such as the D3s, Phase One, Canon 1D Mk something. Again, pretty good for the D5100 and D7000 to be up there hmm?

  • To those who don't know what to buy, check DxO camera rankings (based on sensor performance). The D5100 is at 12th place. The D7000 at 10th. Nikon has done it again. 600D ? I'll take the D5100 any day. A good sensor will make my life easier, especially at that price point. Remember = D5100 = 12th on DxO camera rankings. Pretty damn good. Good job Nikon, another success.

  • @pixelkris The ASP-C leader is the Pentax K5 and it's at #5 in the over all sensor ranking.

  • @geru2000 Oh don't worry. I totally look up to the K5. Really solid camera. :) Beautiful performance as well.

  • @geru2000 But I still love the D7000 :)

  • @pixelkris Whats not to love about it especially if you're already invested in Nikon lenses. :-0

  • Very nice! Exchanging my D3100 for this.

  • @NicholasDel That makes no sense, its better if you go with the D7000.

You would appreciate that leap more in the future, or better you don't

upgrade bodies at all. Save your time and money to get better lenses!

  • @1rhett1 - The D5100 has exactly the same sensor and internals as D7000. The only advantage to D7000 is more manual controls and built with more expensive materials on the outside, otherwise, photo and video quality is exactly the same. It is the same camera inside, same was with the previous generation D5000 and D90.

  • Nikon FTW!

  • Pulled the trigger on this yesterday :-)

I want to get off work and play with it NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did not notice that it did a "tilt shift" effect. I nearly fell out of my chair.

  • American jz like to do what they want.. Arrogant selfish !!

  • Wow Auto HDR, I'm sold.

  • i just want it soooooooo bad but i cant afford it!!!!! :( so sad!

  • @fergalindo96 You will be able to afford it one day :-) I've got a very tight budget but i'm dying to get it! No matter what I'll try my ass off to get this camera, if i dont get this then i have no choice but to get Nikon D3100.

    Good luck with yours ;)

  • @fergalindo96 Don't be sad. Start saving and you'll get it soon.

  • What about its picture sharpness compare to canon rivals? anybody knows?

  • @bibinandlinju In my opinion Nikon gives you better ISO performance than Canon but when it comes to video stuff, it's Canon all the way. You need to know if you want this for mainly photographers or video.

  • @PhotographersOnUTube - I agree that. My question is about the jpeg picture sharpness. Seems like nikon's pictures are soft and not sharp as canon's even after post processing. what do you think?

  • @bibinandlinju The sharpness of your picture will come from your glass. You could take better quality pictures with a prime lens on an average camera body than a crappy lens on a very expensive body. I know a lot of wedding photographers who prefer Nikon due to great ISO performance BUT those who mostly do studio work sometimes prefer Canon because of of high mega pixel. Lighting is controlled in a studio so they like the extra pixels for poster work. But your glass will give you the sharpness

  • i want i want i want :((

  • Is it just me, or does it looks a lot more like Canon's cameras then any other Nikon...

  • im going to be preordering this. Good thing i sold my d5000 awhile back

  • D5100 or EOS 600D?

  • @Zeignn Hello :) Here's the thing if you go for Nikon there are two positive stuff about it; it detects focus easier when you are using Auto-focus unlike canon which is very slow, it's color is dry unlike canon it's color is vivid. Since I am a user of Nikon SLRsand Canon EOS 550D, I would like to suggest you go for Canon if you are an intermediate but for a beginner go for Nikon. :) Hope my suggestion helps in your decision making :) God Bless.

  • @Zeignn I would go with D5100, Having used both brands, I personally believe Nikons reproduce more true to life color than Canons, pictures are more satisfying and I could create instant masterpiece with ease, it is not a hardware thing and has more to do with factory calibration and their default settings. Canons will deliver the same performance if you are willing to mess around with the different settings and adjustments. I never tried the T3i who knows, it may surprise me.

  • I'm thinking about selling my GH2 for this camera.

  • is this any better than d7000?

  • @IcoVir No, the D7000 is better but it's better than my D90 in lots of ways :'(

  • @IcoVir - Inside, the D5100 and D7000 are the same exact camera. Same sensor and technology, same photos and video, exactly the same. Only advantage with the D7000 is more manual buttons and more expensive materials on the outside. But for most, the D5100 has plenty of manual controls and buttons and build quality is excellent. The D5100 in my opinion is a much better value because what you see on the screen or print in the end will be the same. D7000 if you shoot for a living every day.

  • @INTERNATIONALvids Not quite, The D7000 has superior auto focus system, metering and true pentaprism viewfinder over the D5100.

  • FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! FUCK! WHY I BOUGHT T2I/550D. FUCKING LIFE, PISSES ME OFF!!!

  • @MrPapawill - At least for video the T2i is much more flexible, the T2i also takes amazing photos, but I believe non pros will have more success with photos using the D5100 and even the previous generation D5000.

  • How do you pronounce "Nikon"? Nick-on or Nie-con? People I know here say: Nie (like pie) Con. Not Nick- on like the person in this vid. No big deal, just wondering if I'm saying it wrong. :)

  • @bichonfrisegallery neecon...ok?

  • @bichonfrisegallery.... neecon...ok?....americans(dumb) like to say nicon like "nike"...:)

  • @bichonfrisegallery.... neecon...ok?....american(dumb) like to say nicon like "nike"...:)

  • @lokingloking You say knee-con? North America calles it Nie-con, and Europe? calls it Nick-on. None are dumb, just different. ;)

  • @bichonfrisegallery if your name is john l cant call you yohn because lm from ...mars... or whatever...so japs call it nickon and whole world should call it like this...think about it and let me know about it...

  • @lokingloking Hmm.. I thought about it, and my name is not John or yohn and it never was, so I don't understand the point you are trying to make.

  • @lokingloking Actually, in other languages, many names are pronounced differently. It's not wrong, it's just different.

  • @lokingloking - It's not even slightly dumb if Americans pronounce it Nie-Con. Your example is invalid because languages have different dialects. Just like in some parts of the world people pronounce words differently poe-tay-toe and pot-tah-toe. They both mean the same thing, it isn't wrong to pronounce it a certain way. Also, what about the people with accents? If their accent affects the way they pronounce something does that make them dumb too?

  • @Cahthee accents could be cute and charming but....ignorance that is a problem...u can't understand it...just keep call it on your american way...have a good day...

  • @bichonfrisegallery - There is no wrong, doesn't matter how you pronounce Nikon, it will not have an effect on you photos, I promise.

  • @INTERNATIONALvids Thumbs up! Hee hee

  • pre ordered mine on amazon !!!

  • Finally NIKON...about time you designed a DSLR for a beginner to semi pro level photographers who don't want to lug around a BIG camera. I'd use this camera body all the time over my D700

  • Wow, this one have everything that I'm missing with my d3100, the HDR and the mike input and so on. This looks awesome :) But got my d3100 some month ago, still happy with it! I'll enjoy my D3100 some more years, and at that time there will be even better dslr's out ;)

  • Let us bast in the radiance!

  • i love it canon !!!

  • budget camera from Nikon with expo-bracketing?! 8)

    cant be real! )

  • I have an IMPORTANT Question about the camera:

Is it present the intervallometer like D5000? or it has been removed?

  • :( I JUST GOT MY D3100!!! damn it!!

  • @takoyakisupreme Me too :) but this cam is very $

  • yup its a pretty sweet camera but sucks in my country., its not available yet :( ., i think it will arrive here around may

  • this is a pretty sweet camera. i'm getting it for the summer. Good thing I sold my d5000 earlier

  • I saw "miniature effect" and it really looks like a miniature! HOW WORKS THAT FUNCTION, please?

  • @Bunchpoland Just use a shallow depth of field. It can be done on any camera. For more search google for miniature faking.

  • @nick0912nascar - I can see only use of gaussian blur in a corner of photo. Is it all?

  • can i have it ?

  • canon!

  • well, a had a nicon for some time (i don't remember the model, but it was bigger one), and it was the worst camera i have ever had. Even my cellphone made better pics than that camera !

  • @Aj0nJon - sounds like operator error not the camera.

  • hope its AF is faster than the D7000 HDR is something I like the most.

  • i have been following this cam since it was just a rumor..bet this camera will be da BEST SELLER..usually we think that nikon shots better pic BUT canon take better video...NOW, no longer, NIKON wins.....will take this cam next month..YES!!!

  • @awalktoremember82 - I totally agree that Nikon takes better picks, my older D5000 took better picks than my Canon T2i (550D), but for video, Canon is much more flexible, more manual controls and more frame rate choices.

  • I wonder why when i share it in facebook and it shows "Nikon COOLPIX D5100"

  • i bet the one who dislike cause just get his/her D3100, or other brand's user..=)

  • Ok I'm sold. I'm gonna return my T2i back to the shop.

  • i bet the one who dislike cause just get his/her D3100, or other brand's user..=)

  • Cheers Nikon

  • im wondering if the HDR is controllable or just automatic. this is a lot of camera for a mere $800

  • The LCD screen resolution is still not 1040K! Why is Nikon holding off on putting a higher resolution LCD screen?

  • @NataliaD22 $799 for just the body and $899 for the body and kit lens

  • I am so getting this camera i was first going to get a cannon 600d t3i rebel but i mean this camera has a diorama effect!!

  • The only way ill think about getting this camera is if the video quality is on par with cannon cause if not i guess ill be good with my d3100 till next year

  • @Enj01 are you happy with your D3100 ?!.. i just bought it two days ago and this D5100 was unleashed the next day :( :( :(((

  • awesomeeeeeeeee

  • How much does it cost? I would like this to myself! )

  • I have taken little under 55 000 photos without any problem on Nikon D40. Hopefully this D5100 can be to same level if it is my next DSLR. But I hope battery grip from Nikon for D5100 if its not available yet.

  • very nice, but love my d5000 too =)

  • WOW!

  • my next acquisition, D5100..

    Nikon FTW!!!

  • D5100 nice bt I stil prefer D7000

  • @coolhirako Douh!! its entry-level DSLR!!

  • awesome, this is exactly what i wanted, the 16mp sensor, smaller body than the d7000, cheaper, 1080p30, mic input, swivel screen, 900k lcd, etc.. excellent, will complement my d700 nicely

  • i prepare to take u home ... d5100...

  • I am so much in love this camera, I love the new side hinged high res. Swivel LCD screen. Nikon finally answered my prayer, Thank you Nikon, I will be picking mine up fresh of the vine.

  • im still happy with my d7000, but this does look like a solid camera.

  • Nice!But I still love my D3100 ;)
