No one but Rubinstein plays 3:44 to 3:59 darker...it is the only instance where the piano plays the theme in the development, so it ought to be dark.

It is very easy: when you are in love, the only thing you want is to give up your will. God's love is unconditional; and when you fall inlove with Him ( paradoxically, with the love He gives you ), you are so happy that you only want to serve.

An artist is a prophet or a medium. Conscously or not, he channels God's love ( as Chopin ) or the devil's. In a particular way, of course.
