From biopsies it is known some muscle groups have more "endurance, slow twitch" fibers than others. This is not a matter of either or, but a continuum of slowest-slower-slow-fast-very fast etc. Abs and lower back muscles for example, are constantly working to hold our posture, it really is never a simple matter of one or the other. But for general purposes like ab training its probably OK. its just very misleading and over simplified here.
Superman Larry Scott is the perfect man for everyone. In 1962 he posed nude in the Colorado Rockies for Guildof Denver. He obviously knew who was going to get excited over his perfectly chiselled looks. but I have seen family photos of him with his wife and perhaps eight children? He is quite the "multi-tasker" -- a devout Mormon who was happy to make gay men enjoy his body too.
@MisterNautilus ... He is speaking in general terms the abdominals have a lot more white muscle fibres than other muscle groups, for the average person. You don't need to use instruments to test everything.

So, according to Larry, all your muscles are slow twitch except your abdominals. Someone just broke the needle on my bullshit meter!
