@Moorelm1 Eh, I'm not sure if you're serious, but removing the keys one row at a time and then Cleaning the spaces in between with a Q-tip with a little cleanex sprayed on it will do the trick for most gunk that gets stuck underneath the keys...

thanks, my friend spilled wine all over my dell 1555 keyboard :S the laptop still worked however after the laptop heats up the keys become kinda sticky, had to remove every one and clean them.

For the U bar i don't have any sliders or brackets. So I can't fix my spacebar. I have 2 metal nudges but can't figure out how the U bar fits on.

I have Dell XPS M 1330 but the underside of the space bar and the locks on the keyboard are slightly different. Anyway my space bar doesn't work as well on the right side anymore as it does on the left side, so I removed it now to see what was wrong, but everything looks ok, but after putting it back on, it still doesn't work as well on the right side. First time I tried to remove, I started from the botton and deformed my key. You gave me the knowlage and trust I needed. Just replacing the key, and puting it again made it work. And I have a XPS 1530, the keyboard is almost the same. Thanks again, keep the good work!
