  • kick ass. thats all i can say

  • Reminds me of Ghoul School for the NES!!!

  • i prefer the other version, where is it :O

  • THE SONG IS TOO GODDAMN SHORT >_<

  • This is how my old games would have sounded if they just had singing.

    Awesome

  • Arthur Googy is now a High School Super Intendent.

  • @chica476

    Real name, Joseph McGuckin.

  • This reminds me of double dragon

  • This sound like on of those classic PsOne games like Crash Bandicoot!

  • Bassline kicks ass...keyboard played through a fuzz pedal..by far the coolest sounding version of this awesome song. I wish glen had used distorted keyboard on more songs.

  • ilove this song its so Gee haha=D

  • I like it. It has that 50's feel to it, ha

  • Danzig plays the keyboard for this song because they didnt have Doyle yet and it still is pretty awesome

  • @stinkittodaman Yeah, and you could also say Danzig just yelled most of the time.

  • i had never heard this version...trippy

  • manny gived a lot to this song, love his drumming,jazzy...He is actually a very good player, does he still play?

  • The lyrics are fucking awesome on this song too.

  • This version is so awesome (Y)

  • I love this version.

  • Fuckin' nice! \,,/

  • wow this is before Franch'e Coma came

    its very cool.

    especially wit danzigs keyboard skills

  • Hmm, this is a neat version :)

  • Liisten to that jungle beat, shits DECK!!

  • forget about it, this shit rocks, get it!

  • eat my shorts

  • this version is better. love it

  • they got their name from marylin monroe's last film the misfits and this song is about patty hearst who was kidnapped by the Symbionese Liberation Army in 1974.

  • This isn't from Static Age, it's the original version. Personally, I prefer the Static Age version, although this one is interesting.

  • session a ?

  • did they take there name from the arthur miller play

  • my fave misfits song

  • I know 'She' is on Static Age, but I know this isn't the version that's on Static Age. Just so you know.. But I know countless others must have pointed this out.

  • @Zackmo92 Its the single. Not the Static Age version.

  • correct me if i'm wrong, she and cough/cool were originaly played with a keyboard instead of a guitar and bass.

  • @panbread89 it had bass and key board just no electric guitar

  • heh. sounds like the doors with the keyboard.

  • I have he 45 on clear vinyl. . .there is no guitar on she or cough/cool

    -Ixxx

  • this is not from static age. Notice there is no guitar.

  • i thought the legacy of brutality had the guitar on it...

  • it does just bought the cd

  • its not from the static age album its from BEWARE: the singles collection

  • Wrong. This is from the Cough/Cool single. It was on the Beware: The Complete Singles Bootleg, and many other cd's, but this is originally the side b to the Cough/Cool single on Blank Records.

  • Correct! i have the box with those singles and "rares!

  • cool...sounds like the JAZZ version......

  • Comment removed

  • Does anyone ever just sit back and compare Danzig's voice to Jim Morrison's? I realize they are quite different, but there are still similarities I hear. Anyways, I love the Misfits!

  • Yep! I found that out. In the Misfits years he sounded more like Elvis, in my opinion.

  • haha yeah your right!!!!!

  • GREAT version

  • Collection 1 version is better

  • Favorit song :)

  • Snapcase did a great cover of this.

  • kkkkkkkyeah

  • The Original Teenagers from Mars is good too. Its played in this style.

  • The bass is awesome here. but an fyi for the jerry fanboys lurking the comments here, he did not write this. This was a complete Danzig composition.

  • I like this version better.

If that is bass playing in the back it is awesome!

    I love that riff.

  • @bipolarclerk Hell yeah that bass is badass...and the nintendo sound is a keyboard played through a fuzz pedal..This version is by far the best...I wish he had done more songs like this.

  • i dont know where u shit heads are gettin that its only singing well its not u fuck tards. its Danzig

  • Lol retard danzig is singing

  • Fuck jerry! :)

  • shut up jerry rocks

  • Y u say tht

  • wow long time since ive heard this one nice

  • Never heard the original version before! The vocals are almost exactly the same as the later one but the drumming is crazy. It reminds me of "Break On Through". I've officially given up trying to figure out where Glenn Danzig is coming from.

  • LOL a lounge version of She, cool! You can see them all with black pants, shiny black shoes and jackets made of pink rhinestones...and sunglasses! lol

  • Thanks dude, classic.

  • this is the original Cough/Cool 7" version, had no guitar and Danzig was on keyboard

  • gotta love it =)

  • Right. The version on Static age is same song but overdubbed with guitar. This one is better. And Cough/Cool is epic too.

  • ive never heard this song quite like this, but i have to admit this is the best one ive heard, alot of bass or something, cant put my finger on it but still it sounds wicked!

  • this sonds fukin amazing!

  • This song is a Misfits classic!!!

    its so...different and original.

    doesnt really matter though.

    all Misfits songs are great.

  • this is the original!

  • Could you buy this version on Itunes or Limewire?

  • I don't know.

  • misfits don't want you to buy they want you to steal

  • @mrpunk2 DUDE....DO NOT USE LIMEWIRE....It is so infested with viruses...Use Frostwire, it has a really strong trojan firewall, ive had it for 2 years and no viruses yet, i had limewire for 10 days and my computer crashed.

  • @mrpunk2 PSH who buys their music?!?!?!?

  • love those keyboards.

  • if you're wondering its a Fender Rhodes organ w/ a fuzzbox for distortion.

  • Thanks, always wondered how they got this tone. Could you recommend some songs, with a similar sound, please? I really dig it..

  • Cool/Cough. thats it man. no more songs after that. but also check out Theme For a Jackal.

  • yeah man...glenns vox..and the keyboard fucking mesh beautifully!

Someone should put it on myspace ;D

  • this is music one listens to while taking a train... with no particular destination in mind...

  • NVR heard this b4....fucking great!

  • This is not the Static Age version.

This is the Cough/Cool single EP version.

And also can be found at the new versions of Beware EP

  • fuck i miss the good old days

  • damn kick ass

  • god, this raw early stuff without the heavy distorted guitar is simply incredible.(with the distorted guitar is still great..but it seems like it drowns out any depth the music has) Anyone know if any of their material after this 7" has limited guitar, with just the keyboards as the main part? thanks

  • On static age CD there is a song called Theme for A Jackal. it has Bass, drums and piano as the main part and guitar solos/ feedback as well.

  • hi! this version is absolutely the greatest song i have ever heard from the Misfits!! Could someone please send THIS VERSION to me in mp3?

  • dude, this version is the fucking best. we do a cover of it. so fucking sick. this is the best version of it.

  • Man this song in The original layout is so nice i like this more then the one they sampled whith guitar,i have this song in Mp3 from the Single ''7'' so nice you really get the Old School feel whith the ''Static'';) and the sparking sound in it^^

  • LOL

  • damn, ive never heard of this version, i like them both tough but thanks for uploading

  • this sounds like a nintendo game

  • this is better version of this song from Cough/Cool EP

  • last caress or bullet are their best songs. i like this song too though...

  • This is the original with an electric piano...for the record...guitars didn't get on this track until later

  • his danzigs voice ever sounded better?

  • madea clip with this track with some fight scenes from fight club...maybe i´ll up it.quality is much better than this

  • If you do that then thank you!

  • i also could send u "SHE" as mp3 no problemO

  • as said before... this song is NOT from beware album... it is from Cough/Cool (vinyl) single ONLY! though on static age and legacy of brutality there is also a "She" version, both with guitar tracking...! damn good song though!

  • didn't they do overdub guitar on the legacy of brutality one?

  • yeah i think so..

  • could have some photos and scenes =P

but is a fucking great song...

    i have all records..

  • The sound came out pretty shitty for some reason. It is a good song for sure.

  • It was only ever released on Vinyl Record. The Beware CD was simply a recording of She playing on Cough/Cool.

  • it's also on the album legacy of brutality if you're interested

  • This is the best Misfits song ever. I remember having the cough/Cool record, but I had to sell it, due to the fact that my family was in turmoil.

  • I don't know about that, Horror Business and Hollywood Babylon r pretty damn good

  • and hybrid moments

  • i thought that would have been obvious, lol
