Although I suppose I can't expect professional quality (and I don't mean that in a negative way), I do think there are too many "sigh" moments. Too many moments where the actors get to make an expression in front of the camera. It doesn't have flow.
I like where this is going, but between this and Browncoats Redemption, my days of taking fan projects seriously is certainly coming to a middle. Rather than trying to get a full-length feature done right out the gate, a series of webisodes would be a better approach. Stop thinking 20th century about this. I'd much rather see another River Tam Sessions approach rather than little to nothing at all ever.
If the webisodes take off, then chow down on a bigger project. Take it one step at a time.
Amazing set. Great effort and you guys do deserve a lot of praise for pulling off a project of this scale, but ehh.. I know you it's just a fan project and who am I to say anything, but you guys should really work on your acting skills, especially the ladies... All lines come out waay too forced and self-conscious... (just look at their expressions at 0:21, 0:44, 1:13) and really, would any captain really pull a gun on his crew? I am probably being a huge ass here, but oh well... I had to do it.
@protomorphius the video is a tongue in cheek reference to the fact the film has been in production for more than 2 years and was thrown together in just a few minutes. They're comparing the crew to a bunch of kids. I think it's cute.
@simbeau oh, I fully understand that... and the actual script is just fine. i have a problem not with what they are saying, but how they are saying it.
Okay, not bad. For something that was thrown together in one day? Not bad at all. Personal preferences would be that the actors spend a lot more time "living" in their characters, get a feel of how they'd react. Move. Behave. So that the lines would come out a lot more naturally. But this is just a personal nitpick. I'm tickled to see more from the 'verse, y'all! Keep up the good work!
A "while" for a fan film is maybe 6 months to a year. This is coming on five years now. And they have the time to do extra clips and xmas episodes. "At least they are doing something." Yeah, having a huge wank is something I guess.
@timidstance So what about Tydirium. Like I said you have to remember these people have lives. There are many fan films that took a long ass time time to come out. Things happen. I think people forget that they have jobs. As in this is a hobby.
@timidstance That's not always true. Some fan films have taken longer. And seriously if it's that much a prob then how come you aren't doing something? So what they make clips? Clips and an ep are two different things!
ship looks awesome! looking foreward to seeing the finished work.

@hitmansnightmare The whole point of this clip was to make fun of ourselves so there was no serious intent. It was meant to be a little campy.

@IntotheBlack In that case, brilliant job! I look forward to the finished film.
Not to berate anyone, but Browncoats: Redemption didn't really get to me. Maybe I'm just not their targeted audience.
Keep up the good work.

Can't wait to se more. The cockpit looks awesome!!!!

Why spend time and energy on this instead of, y'know, the actual fan film you're trying to make? No wonder it's taking forever. Focus!

@timidstance This was a one day thing after the cockpit set was done for a con. Production is a lot more active now.
