the great flaw in celebrity big brother ... imported celebrities from the Colonies.
Only natural that they get a bit excitable in a primitive way about their 'President' - they're only just getting started with the business of being a country.
They're adolescent, and can't help it, but we could have been spared.
im american and i know that having a black president is a huge deal. anyone who says otherwise is clearly ignorant about history and politics not only in our country but in the world in general especially developed democracies.
...and to all the brits not understanding the importance of a non-white president in the USA... well, you don't understand, and you won't understand in your lifetime, as your head of state is garunteed to be WHITE in your lifetime, and you don't even have a say in who your head of state is, as you have a monarchy. so of course you don't understand.
so instead of talking crap, just accept that you CAN'T understand.
i was happy because after being told that blacks in general don't have the where with all to run any thing ,let alone a country , it was nice to witness other wise... I don't believe that 's racist..rac·ist
rac·ist [ráyssist]
adj
n (plural rac·ists) racist person: somebody who hates others who are not of his or her own race
That's a very narrow (and I would argue dangerously narrow) definition of racism. There are more subtle forms of racism, institutionalized racism being one of them. If people have a narrow view of racism, that opens the doors for all sorts of discrimination to continue, re-emerge, and entrench.
this is a very ignorant definition of racism. seriously get a real dictionary because that is seriously flawed. racism is the belief that all members of a certain race possess possess characteristics or traits specific to that race so as to distinguish them as superior or inferior; racism is prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism based on racist beliefs. seriously educate yourself darling seriously.
as a Black american i know what coolio was feeling ...when i watch it at work i watch it with another lady ,we were the only black people there and we both cried and the others co workers didn quite understand why ....i didn bother to explain ..Im glad that big brother allowed them to watch it . and in particular Coolio and Latoya.....
Verne seemed like he was just going along with her and saying what she wanted to hear. What she said wasn't 100% false (at least the part about America's role in the world--not that bullshit about who sat where), but it was VERY badly stated. It kind of made her look a bit foolish, especially her dumbass "preferred seating plan".
USA came in a bit late to world war II remember however more recently broke their neck to get into illegal wars oh and brought the world economy to its knees...thanks
Nice way to be positive about change. Why should the country even BOTHER to try and improve if little piss-ants on the Internet are going to focus on the bad to the exclusion of the good?
latoya look beautiful

Like I said, it makes no difference what colour he is.
He wouldn't be there unless they (who have the real power) allowed it.
America's going straight down the shitter.
You better hope that God of yours is merciful.

So you were happy just because you have a 'black' president?
Isn't that racist?
Black or white, he's just another puppet.

good to see coolio cry. just goes to show the pride he has for his people
wildcat1559 3 years ago
It was the first time he was actually likable on this show as opposed to just being entertaining.
To his credit, since he has zero ability to act, it seems like it was pretty genuine.

I take offense to that comment. The US is not to blame for the world economy. But it's nice that you think we have that kind of power.
dirtymonkey151 3 years ago
the US does indeed have the power to pervert the world economy. GLOBAL RECESSION? 6 months later, and you're proved wrong. I wish it weren't so.
Shanniquitie 2 years ago
I hardly think you're an expert on the status of the global economy.

What point are you trying to make here, buddy? Come on now...
