  • DE POCA MADRE....

  • 1 saw then twice :D and im from Fucking Holland :O!!!!

  • I would fucking go ape shit at this show.

  • Wat d fuck is up wit d crowd? if they cant get excited seeing these lads play u may as well take em all (crowd that is) round d back nd put d mogs down who needs depressing cunts like dat

  • At Electric Picnic i woke up with the SOREST fucking neck the next day after seeing these guys squished up against the barriers up front.

Word of advice guys stretch your neck muscles before headbanging heavily.

  • @TheTvrulesthenation THIS IS SOO TRUE

  • There should have been aa extra band member with a shot gun just to shoot the lousy audience.

  • @asifesse they call that a vocalist.

  • Why the crowd's so shiite?

  • gwan and knock yer socks aff....yeeooo! hahaha i love northern ireland

  • As someone who has been to a post rock show, we don't thrash. We mellow right the fuck out and let the music wash over us. We headbanged as one, as a unit... It was a very unique experience, and one that's hard to look at and understand from a distance.

  • I think they are in Awe, that is why they stand there, in pure awe!

  • Haha the crowd was shit

  • When I listening to ASIWYFA, people are watching at me, because I'm looking crazy)

  • HOLY GOD the lighting is epic man

  • At least the crowd cheered at the god damn end, if they had remained silent after that godly show of musical finesse I swear I'd have to go kill them all.

  • 2 things: great band and most boring rock audience E V E R in the history of forever

  • all teh hispeters we lissen to post rawk HURR

  • That crowd is fucken lame. The only conclusion I can draw is that all their minds were blown simultaneously and rendered them catatonic. I would be going fucken mental!

  • amazing intro but pure bollocks follow,,at best ghost train music ,,

  • @mackeefy lol thats bullshit

  • Saw them play the button factory last night, the crowd was good craic.

  • Woah, epilepsy.

  • I don't understand. There's no reason to stop moving and sing along, so why is everyone stood still? OPEN UP A FUCKING PIT AND THROW A FEW PEOPLE ON TOP OF THE CROWD. This band is so lively and energetic, the crowd should be the same..

  • Awesome track and vid - very exciting band. Its great to hear music like this being pumped out of the NI collective. The music from this band is pulsing with fire and fury, very refreshing stuff here.

Crowd engagement and response is just dismal, definitely not in tune with the spirit of this band - but then again its hard to get fragile crafted automatons to emote! Probably at the wrong gig!

  • Wow, what can you say....that is freaking amazing!!! Love the drummer :)

  • One person didn't set their guitar to kill....

  • One person didn't set their guitar to kill....

  • these guys are fucking epic live, saw them supporting TCV at brixton extra date, was fucking insane/

  • SMASH SMASH SMASH DOO DOO!!!!

  • I want to see them live.

    So badly.

  • ya i agree with everyone. When I saw mogwai, even when they rocked out, no one moved. No one bit. Post Rock fans should learn to move.

  • haha the crowd didnt move because the badn asked everyone to take out their phones/cameras etc. for the video they were recording during the song. just clearing it up

  • They probably don't understand that it's all instrumental and there aren't gonna be any lyrics...

  • i really like this band.. i had just heard the tracks but.. great show

  • @itsheavymetal When I saw them first I only knew S is for Salamander because I'd pre-ordered the EP on a whim, then gone to see them on the same whim. Didn't stop me headbanging, albeit occasionally out of time, at the front.

  • what a bunch of idiots in the front row man, jesus christ man, this shit is insanely awesome, seeing them tonight when they are opening for them crooked vultures.

  • most of the people just watch cause theire LISTENING!!

i agree.. some sort of banging would be nice.. but who the hell cares?!

saw them last week.. one of the best shows EVER!!!

  • Insane band. Only seen them once at glasgowbury, and they were unbelievable. hope to see them again sometime.

  • holy crap. i stood one meter from the stage in paradiso while they were playing. i almost headed the guitar of the right guitarist.

  • Maybe people aren't moving because they'd rather stay still and better appreciate the music than jump around like drugged up monkeys. Are you only showing your appreciation if you're leaping against other people and swinging your head? Eh...no. Great fucking tune though.

  • @alokazo to be fair, if a band playing looks out and see's a place going buck mad they know they're doing a great gig, if i was playing and saw this crowd i'd think "what a bunch of dour bastards." how anyone could stay still during this is beyond me.

  • @eimead I agree with you that it cant be great for the band to see everyone just looking at them. But I saw an interview with the Machinehead vocalist and he said European crowds are harder are more knowledgable and react differently to the music. Saying that, the crowd in the video do seem unusually boring!

  • @alokazo I'm Irish... seen these guys a couple of times and it's never been like this. seen them in portrush, derry and dublin and it was always mental. i think this is just a bad crowd.

  • @alokazo the way people appreciate music of a tempo like this, normally, is to dance or at least fucking move in some way. im sitting at home appreciating it by unintentionally head banging.. dont know i'd do if it was live!

  • Maybe people aren't moving because they'd rather stay still and better appreciate the music than jump around like drugged up monkeys. Are you only showing your appreciation if you're leaping against other people and swinging your head? Eh...no. Great fucking tune though.

  • lik a cross between battles and qotsa

  • Saw these guys in Derry last night, it was fucking brutal!

  • As a extra treat for fans I would employ Rosario Dawson in her Sin City gear to do a bit of "Bez" style dancing & then just read aloud from a copy of The Daily Star...

  • thank god for these lads making sure people appreciate irish music compared to such shite as crystal swing. ASIWYFA are my heroes

  • What's with the GY!BE and TWDY tags? Apart from being instrumental they're not very similar at all. I was so surprised and glad to see this won best live video.

  • Why doesn't anyone move? Is this a characteristic of post rock fans? Oh my god, these guys are so good, and you guys just .... stand there doing nothing. To be honest, the perfect combination for a gig would be post-rock music with a 90's hardcore audience (90's because of the lack of respect and ideals wich is suffering the scene nowadays). Great music, and a great atmosphere.

  • Watch this space man - the video from the Ulster Hall gig in Belfast will be out soon enough

  • @profanebeliever It depends on the audience realy. I saw them last year in a tiny venue in cork and everybody went totally fucking nuts. I spent most of the night holding on to one of the monitors [there was no stage barrier] trying not to end up in the middle of the drum-kit.

  • Ah, so there is hope after all :p. I'm fond to here that, but anyway, it's a shame that such a good gig is wasted on such a louzy audience.

  • blablablablabla

  • when AIWYFA were in Cracow, the crowd went totally crazy, I swear

  • @profanebeliever - I'm all for moving at shows. But look back at shows from the 60's and 70's...For all the greats...minus that ONE crazy stoned chick that is spazzing out on acid to the beatles, stones, dead, hendrix, (insert icon here) most people are just standing there. it isn't saying anything about the music or the people. Sometimes people are just in awe and want to WATCH. Nothing wrong w/that...even if I myself tend to be that spazzing chick on acid. Only I'm a dude...

  • @profanebeliever Man if i were that band i'd be SHOCKED if the audience was that static. I wouldn't be able to work with those people. no atmosphere... they sure as hell aren't 90's hardcore, even the look of them. they're probably guys trying to "take the music in" like their some kind of critic... you're fucking kids at a gig. have fun.

  • @profanebeliever I know. They're so expressionless, too. Move your bodies, people!

  • @profanebeliever If it is a completely post-rock crowd then I understand why they don't move, though I would feel compelled to by this music. Also, to characterize this band as solely post-rock is wrong.

Great performance, I love their high energy live. They sound better live period; though the drums blew in this show.

  • @profanebeliever I've been to a postrock show, we mostly stood there, hypnotized, bobbing our heads in unison, occasionally headbanging. We get REALLY drawn into the music and it like... casts a spell on us.

  • @profanebeliever Im going to see them next week and I most definatley wont be standing around

  • @profanebeliever

last time i checked all you need to have to listen to music is ears

  • @profanebeliever dude i completely agree, id be flippin shit.

  • @profanebeliever Yo this crew ARE the 90's hardcore audience. They thoroughly promote a pit..... preferably circle. Come on in the water's lovely

  • @profanebeliever Yo this crew ARE the 90's hardcore audience. They thoroughly promote a pit..... preferably circle. Come on in the water's lovely

  • @profanebeliever i was at one of their gigs, i was up at the front on the barrier so i couldn't see what people behind me were doing but me and the people beside me were moving a fair fucking bit

  • @profanebeliever Orrr... you let everyone experience the music how they want it! For me, sometimes I just want to let the music just go through me, and that's all. I've seen them, and some songs I did this and other songs I was flipping my ass off.

  • @profanebeliever Who cares about a scene, it's music. Let people do what they want. Lack of respect and ideals, can you explain to me what you mean by that? I guess you would hate to hangout with Christopher Reeves (R.I.P. Superman) at a show? You know how many people respect and like them? ALOT! Reason being is there are fans from Texas (me and many others), Russia, Algeria, and my friends from Puerto Rico. That's respect! Ideals? Why would you want to imitate the 90's again? Silly you!

  • @profanebeliever i just imagined this song to a fugazi show

  • this song is so satisfying. can't listen to it enough. gotta love the irish

  • the album hasn't left the cd player in the car for 6 weeks. fuckin awesome

  • i saw them live!! XD for free XD

  • best band ever seen live!

  • How could a crowd be so.......dead.... with that kind of music? I would be jumping all over the place!!! Wish I could've been there!

  • I've seen em live, at times you are just mesmerized . they're incredible

  • @HurtHead: I couldn't agree more. When I saw them in Belgium, there wasn't even anyone moving (except me offcourse, I wen't crazy :p)

  • @HurtHead - yea insane. they're probably all indie faggots with cardigans and drainpipes that dont want their hair getting messed... fucking idiots...

  • one of these songs you can`t listen often enough!!! fu#k damn...love it!

  • WOOO!

  • holy shit @ shitness of front row.lol!!!!

  • That amazing performance was wasted on a crowd that hardly moved.

    Pretentious post-rock feckers...

  • riot? where's the riot? I want my riot!! Band: A+
