  • Most "idiots" didn't get it right because the MF layout has not been widely known.

Honda was the only JP mfyer to adopt such rare layout on a handful of vehicles, before this layout was finally discontinued.

This MF layout was available with G-series I5s and C-series V6s.

  • All of you people are uneducated idiots. Midship is referring to the engine sitting behind the front axle.

What the hell with all you people saying theres engines in the back? Where did you pull that fact from, jesus.

  • at last, someone gets it right.

  • looks more like a Honda Legend...?

  • i own one a these cars, duno whats so great about them, just an accord with a longitudal 5pot thats a little more comfy than ya standard accord

  • lots of retards on here. only mid engine honda i know of is the nsx. i know damn well that accords are ff. and honestly, have u ever seen a car with 2 engines?

  • yep the AUDI TT MTM BiMoto, there are heaps a idiots on here aye mate...

  • yea but im talking about realistic production cars that people can afford

  • AWESOME CAR DUDE¡¡¡¡

  • front wheel drive, mid entry sedan you IDIOT

  • Wow, can you name a car that's not mid entry then?

  • Maybe you should look up what cars have "MIDSHIP" configurations. It means "mid-engine" not mid entry. Neither of these cars appear to be mid-engine either. Perhaps theres a more technical explanation.

  • yah there is, this dude under us, Tenipro explained it.. FF is front wheel drive, midship, mid mounted engine, longitudinally mounted engine, one in the front and one in the back

  • You clearly have no grasp of vehicle design basics. There are no front wheel drive, mid engine cars. Have you ever even seen an Accord Inspire or a Vigor? I have, the engine is in the front. Midship means mid-mounted engine, which means in the middle of the car. Similar to the MR2, which means "Midship Runabout 2 Seater" Midship because the engine is in the middle of the car, behind the driver. If you think this car has 2 engines, better start learning how cars work. This car is just an Accord.

  • i didnt say it had 2 engines, and i have a 1990 honda accord, and an inspire is the samething.

  • Anybody know what FF MIDSHIP is supposed to mean?

  • FF=Front Engine, Front Wheel Drive

    Midship=Mid Engine

This car, Vigor, and the Acura Legend had a longitudinally mounted engine, one in the front, one in the back.

  • What one in the back? Neither of those cars had engines in the back.

  • I meant in the mid section of the car. Underneath the seats, I think.

  • Nope, have a coworker with a Vigor (US Accord Inspire) the 5 banger is definitely up front under the hood. And a buddy has a Legend, also engine up front. Maybe the orientation of the engine closer to the cab to balance the weight better or something. Or perhaps it's the longitudally mounted engine since it's more in the middle of the car. Who knows. Maybe just a catchy word they used.

  • I think you hit the nail there. After doing some research, it had to do with the weight distribution, I think.

  • You're a fuckin idiot!
