  • 1: Sell all this equipment

    2: Buy an F4

    3: Enjoy photography

  • You forgot to have extra wedding rings, just in case the Bride or Groom loses theirs. :D

  • did you film this with a potato?

  • Curious why you shoot the Sigma when you have the 24-70 and 14-24?

    Thanks for the time.

  • Last time i went to film a wedding i only had a handy cam with wide angle and a light and it turn out rally well you can see it on my chanel not spaning just saying that you can get some thing nice without having all that

  • nice. Do you have a pic you can share with us? (I know it would be difficult since most are probably shots of your cliants) thanks in advance. I have a 5D2 and personally I like the skin tones that I can get from a canon (used to be nikon shooter) but considering the build quality of a NIKON, I just might go back.

  • I think 5D MARK II is better then D700 I had them both - I think it's sharper and better ISO performance

now using the 1D mark IV

  • @yair2112 No. Nikon has the best ISO performance out of the 2. However, the color produced from the 5D is superb compared to the D700, in my opinion. However, that could just be the glass.

  • If your SB900 is over heating.. your not mixing your available light and strobe correctly

  • All absolutely wonderful! But does it really make you a better photographer?

  • @Minefieldz Look at his portfolio on his website. I think it's very nice. This quality gear just doesn't handcuff him.

  • @ Freddy

    70-200mm 2.8

    24-70mm 2.8

    50mm 1.4

    Pick your best

  • wat lens would be appropriate for fashion photography??? nyone have ny suggestion? thank u so so much!!! i use a nikon d 7000 by the way :)

  • Well friends, a LOT ofmstuff has changed since this video. I'm gonna try to put up a new video this weekend.

  • I am an amateur photographer starting out. I already did one successful wedding. Quick question, "how do find potential clients, using the net?" Did you start out by building a website? or did you go to one to find jobs, if so which one? any help be appreciated thanks!

  • Hey, I'm a nature photographer looking to start doing weddings (since this seems where the money's at), can you tell me what's usually required from the photographer? and recommend any good book to read on the subject? thanks

  • @UnDeadKnight1 people aren't the same as animals...

  • @siliconsurf Well, DUH, that's why I asked for tips...

  • @UnDeadKnight1 Well, DUH, there's a book on wedding photography at your bookstore if you can read.

  • @siliconsurf There are tons of books about wedding photography...and like hell I'll spend my money on them all, this just gets me back to my original question, really, which is which book is a good one...

I'd really appreciate it if you stop replying idiotic comments :)

  • @UnDeadKnight1 find some models or wannabe models and do test photoshoots with them...it's better than any books...personally, i took a wedding photography workshop and thought it was useful since we also got to shoot models in a wedding like setting.

  • @siliconsurf That's a good advice, thanks, though, my problem is, I dunno what exactly do they require in a wedding. I'm decent at portraits and lighting, but don't they also require you o shoot the church for example and stuff like that? I wanna know it all before I actually take my first gig, and I can't find a decent wedding photographer who's willing to help :( too bad I didn't take wedding photography courses back in photography school, I focused on nature.

  • @UnDeadKnight1 The best one I seen by far is called "Mastering Digital Wedding Photography" Covers everything! by James Karney

  • @armanimpressions Thanks!, I'll check it out as soon as I can.

  • why don't you use 5D2, that camera pawns d700 crap

  • @Xyb3rTeCh No, 5D2 won't beat D700, D700 has better ISO and better image quality. Also, its faster.

  • @FinlandApollo the d7000 does not have better iso capabilities the 5d2 is way better for wedding and portraiture photography

  • @TommyPh500d D7000 and D700 is completely different camera. D7000 is brand new and it came out in 2010 and it is crop sensor. D700 is way older and it came out in 2008 and its full frame.

  • @FinlandApollo shit my bad typo lol

  • @TommyPh500d :DD

  • @FinlandApollo I had a D700 and now have a 5D MkII, the Canon has notably better image quality than the Nikon. People believe too much of what they read about who's better at high ISO, the difference is totally un-noticable in any pic smaller than A3... and even at extremes it's still virtually invisible. I showed a 16x20"pic I took at a rock concert at 3200 ISO to a very experienced Pro Nikon user and he thought it was a Nikon shot. Imagine his grief when I told him it was a Canon 20D!!

  • @simonsgl Well, Its true about that ISO things. You can see noise clearly in your pictures when you look at them at your screen but when you print them, noise is gone (often, not every time). But 5D MK II isn't so good with ISO than D700 but...does it matter? Both are stunning cameras! The quality of pictures depends on photographer's skills, not their gear.

  • @FinlandApollo the d700 does not have better image quality the the 5d2 idiot

  • @jameslcr It has. The high ISO performance is better than 5D2. But, the difference of picture quality between D700 and 5D2 is very minimal, you can't even see the difference.

  • I've shot with nikon before but i always seem to go back to canon. i think and feel there is no difference. i guess i just like the name Canon == Cannon. hehe

  • Nice informative video, whats your view on using dx bodies for someone who is just starting out?

  • How much do u get paid as a photographer?

  • @Appleaddict22 short answer is you get paid a lot, but only per job, so you need to keep finding jobs to make a living. some people pay about $2,000-$3,000 for a wedding photographer

  • @Appleaddict22

    hahaha

  • I learned a lot from this video. I liked the way you described the usage of each lens.

    Thanks.

  • Why would you go back from a D3 to a D700 ??

  • @lorikzzz Because, self cleaning and a smaller form. Plus was able to sell the D3, buy the D700 and get $1000 and still have the same IQ.

  • @mikerichardsweddings why don't you get the D3s

  • @mikerichardsweddings The d700 Kills the d3 in ISO performance and is a great body, almost comparable to a D3s

  • @mikerichardsweddings they say the D700 is just a d3 in a smaller case. spot on

  • @mikerichardsweddings can you tell me the bag you used? i m looking to get a nice bag

  • good video. Nice kit too

Btw - Boda bags are awesome
