I remember visiting there many times after I got out of Great Lakes Navy boot camp in 1986. What a wonderful place. I felt absolutely secure in the open bay dorm, set aside for visitors. The people who ran the place were just beautiful people. I hope to be able to return and visit them again. Florida is a long way from there, however!

What a crock!!! i lost my job, and i stayed there for 3 months, and i almost died. 7 of my friends got food poisoning from their food. they put us to sleep at 11:30 and wake us up at 3:30am. they treat us like a number, thats all we are to them, its hell, and i used to preach there for 5 years!
ok, you stay there for 3 months, see your friends almost die from food poisoning from old food for dinner, try going to sleep at midnight, then being woken up by 4am by an iron bar on the side of your bunk. then have your cloths put in the hotbox, and having 1200 peoples stink baked into your cloths.... the place is horrifying

Because it is really easy to walk in there with a suit on, then walk out 2 hours later and go home... i just didntt know what those people went through, and how malignant the staff and pastors there really are man.

I've always had very positive dealings with PGM & staff. I support their UNSHACKLED! ministry.
I understand the provide quite the loving service for homeless people and people down on their luck.
