Ahh, the eight Regeneration. I guess we will never know. I always imagined some Doomsday Device he assembled to end the time war exploding on him, but just leaving enough of him intact for him to regenerate... and then, he wakes up and the first thing poor Nine has to see is the debris of his homeworld.
This has a lot of good things in it. I liked the way Maggie Stables's face appeared and I just accepted it... just a few secodns later I thought "Wait a moment!"
Of course he would! Ever since the very beginning, all the Doctor ever wanted was complete freedom from the Time Lords and their rules. First he was on the run from them, then when they caught him, they abused him and exiled him, then after forgiving him, they kept sending him on missions. He truly did want them all to just die. He only puts on his emo angst attitude as emotional blackmail to make his ladies feel more sorry for him and pity-love him. When in reality, he's loving it!
@SnakeOnAPlane Sure, there's a reason that the thing he misses most/describes to his companions when asked is the freakin' landscape, but aren't you thinking a bit too badly of the guy? Romana, Darkel, all his scattered school mates etc. got fried, too....
Great animation! I love yours! And your art! It is 'fantastic'! What I would do is improve the regeneration, and illustrate how the timelord dies, and what really happens in the process. Great video! I'm gonna look at your other ones now!
Just to let everyone know that, in between studying for a degree, I am presently redoing this animation, with flashbacks to previous stories, better titles, improved past-Doctor-flashback, etc. This is taking sometime, and so far I have only got two flashbacks done and the titles. I am presently working on the finale. Once I've got a fair bit done, I'll produce a trailer for it.
That does sound like a good idea making the speeches increasingly shorter, though I'll keep the McGann Doctor ones - after all, it is his regeneration!
Am in the midst of creating more images to use in a longer animation which will show Time Lords, Daleks (maybe even Davros!), better animation, and so forth... Did the titles the other day, might put them up (although they're not perfect, but they'll have to do!)
i would say keep hartnells speech, but make the other speeches shorter and shorter as they go up, i liked it though, u thought about animating a full adventure
Liked it when you had the audio companions appear. It needs to have more pace, try to get the Doctor's speeches shorter, or make the companions appear and vade quicker
I thank you... all suggestions for improvement welcome - absolutely so! This is my very first attempt at producing an animation - doing all the companions and Doctor's (individually, I might add), using Paint and Movie Maker, has taken me months!

I really hope the BBC will film the 8th regeneration. They could do it for Doctor Who's 50th Anniversary in 2013. Well, I hope they will, anyway.
