  • Excellent shooting. Look forward to video of that first buck.

  • i have the exact same bow and i love it, i just shot it today at 10 15 20 25 30 35 and 40 yards all shooting atleast a 3 inch group, im pulling 44 pounds tho, i have shot so much stuff with my bow i cant even tell u wat ive shot, and maybe its time for a new target

  • i got that same bow and i will never trade it it's been really good for me killed a lot of things with it

  • Just an update. JD won the Delaware IBO championships, took 2nd in the Maryland IBO championships. He went to an IBO national and took 4th, then went to the IBO world championship and took 25th. We went to the 4-H state championships two weeks ago. He is 11 now and shooting in the 11 to 14 year old intermediate class. He won both competitions, field and 3-D. He also had the highest scores out of all three classes including the 15-18 year old class. He has come a long way in 4 years.

  • Nice man ur better than me

  • this kid sights in quicker than the actual hunter ive seen

  • nice job jd

  • great shootin kid, but dad when he draws back dont let him look like robin hood and slowly bring the bow down as he draws. at any point there he could accidentally release and shoot the arrow very far. instead have him slowly bring it up its far less dangerous and helps with form

  • there is not going to be a hole in the deer and u shold tell him that

  • compound bows are cheaters bows they have sights and shit use a recurve bow

  • good job dude your great

  • Good shooting bud!

  • nice shootin kid u should go to the olympics

  • what dit the school give you for this project?

    nice and clear video kid.

  • sweet how old is he how much is he pullin? im 14 and shooting round 65

  • i shot a 6 pointer that that bow now for xmas i am getting the new pse vendetta xs in satan black i cant wait

  • nice to see a kid that's in to archery nice vid.

  • it looks like he is pulling not expanding his chest to get it back so e might hurt hloos like his arm

  • thats a razors edge

  • I've shot a bow but not a bew

  • We went to the state 4-H match. He shot a 339 out of 360 for FITA field for 1st place in the state. He also shot 3-D and took 2nd in the state.

If you can't get the peep sight in take it to a shop with a press. You will want to have it served in (tied in) after it is placed in the string. Good luck with archery, it is a lot of fun. Don't be ashamed of using the same bow. It is a great bow, I shot it during a league this summer.

  • nice, dude. i feel a bit ashamed cause im 30 years old and using the same bow..but i just started archery... just dont know how to put in the peep sight.. ((

  • Update: He won a youth 3-D tournament back in May, out of 18 shooters. He will be going to the 4-H state competition on October 8th & 9th. He shot a 182 on a 20 target 3-D course from the hunters stake (not youth) 3 weeks ago, and finished 7th out of 16 in an adult archery league in August. His equipment is now a 50lb Mission Maniac, QAD dropaway, Extreme sight, and GT arrows. We are now getting ready for the hunting season. Looking at going to the IBO shoots next year.

  • Awesome kid!

  • man don't let the haters get you down kid in second grade you should be proud of pulling 30 lbs.

  • good job kid on the video

  • He shot a live deer on this hunt?

  • thas was so AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the wind makes your talking kindof inaudiable and i love kids who have a love of archer like i did.. and those are some VERY nice shots so congratz and keep up the good work

  • your a hell of a shot kid keep shooting a nd keep up the great videos

  • I know this video is quite old, but his draw length there is a little to short.

I guess its personal preference, but it looks like hed like to anchor just behind his cheek because of the way hes moving his head forward to get on the string.

He shoots really well for his age though.

  • thats the next michael waddell right there lol

  • He is an excellent shooter. Im in the 9th grade with the razor edge bow and it is set on 55 lbs and he shoots better than i have ever thought about shooting. Great Job!

  • what weight is he shooting on? im in 8th grade and have mine set on 45 and cant be that accurate!

  • At that time he was shooting 30 pounds. He is up to 40 pounds now and will be staying there for a while. If your bow seems too hard to pull, back it down until you are comfortable. Better to be accurate than over bowed. ;-)

  • Alright thanks! I will back it down a little bit.

  • @LeadSled11999 Are you shitting me? 30 lbs in second grade. Body builder right there, I shoot a 40lb recurve and I have a hell of a time. Whats the poundage when you have it all the way back though?

  • @wakefan7 thats sad mine is 65pd and im in the 6th grade and never miss the heart

  • @Darkcut12345 yes but there is a very big difference between target archery and hunting. im 15 and my target bow is only 45 pounds ( because i shoot around 150 at archery), my hunting bow is 63 pounds and like you i will never miss the heart too, but i can not do that all day, so don't belittle people to make yourself fill good because im sure i can shoot better then you with a bow set to 30 pounds.

  • you gotta lean more forward and hold the bow out in front of you

  • hostage rest are amazing. he have the wisker biscuit?

  • He is on a Wisker biscuit now on his bow.

  • is the wisker biscuit better then the hostage?

  • more durable but the hostage bearly touches fletching

  • ok thanks

  • love that bow..i have it i cna put a 2 inch or less and 20 and 30 yrds at 58lbs

  • nice job kid!!!

  • how much is a compound i want one!

  • this one is 300 on nas

  • man your a good shot wat r u shootin at 15 yards i can barely do that with my mathews ignition

  • Awesome! He's a good shot. He definitely has talent!

  • that kid is beyond his age in both abilty and communication, he's got a good life ahead of him

  • what pound is that

  • It was at 30 pounds then.

  • Thanks everyone. He just shot a new best 281 out of 300 at league the other night.

  • how much is that bow

  • It is a 40 pound peak bow, about 280 from your archery shop. He recently upgraded to a Hoyt Kobalt. I should have some video with that bow coming up.
