  • what an epic voice and epic music, 13 peoples thumbs down^^, hide and creep in your holes, this is music for times we all past by

  • Ever wonder what if Hitler & his regime had overthrown the world? He almost succeeded. A new version of Nazism is at work, we've been fighting it for 25 years. The Machine, sets the scene of a cold controlled darkness, this writer is so intelligent, he included an air-raid siren it's riveting. Pity taken 40 years for some to get the meaning. This genius was born of Hitlers' ice cold endgame. Hitler held the world in an icy cold grip, the world feared the prospects of failure to eradicate Nazism.

  • if you gotta em,fire em up.....

  • if you had the choice would you see the machine performing symphonic pink floyd or aussie pink floyd in quadrophonic surround sound with 3d visuals? I'm trying to decide which to see for my dad's birthday.

  • I.am a PF fan for more than 40 years but the sound and vocals are greath, a very good performance.

  • Wow, it's so fantastically over engineered I thought it was the real Pink Floyd.

  • whos tripping at riverbend this year?

  • A musica de Pink Floyd, nao deve ser analisada, mas sentida

  • i thought it was portal 2?

  • mad props to that keyboardist.

  • Happy 4 20 everyone!!

  • fucking epic.

  • that was pretty damn good!! My favorite PF song and I didn't mind listening to that at all!. Is there a RUSH cover band this good?!

  • @towenstark1 No, there is only one Rush.. ;) Seeing them this Sunday in Malmo Sweden.

  • i love this! more!!!

  • keep jammin the good stuff. floyd forever.

  • One of the best covers out there...

  • nice:) keys~

  • nice:)

  • unbelivebull albm I mean soundtrack

  • welcome to........ «XXI century....» ;)

  • damn what a nice cover :]

  • wtf is this?

  • @phantom2354 This is the Machine

  • ahahah what is this shit???

  • I agree with some of the comments that there is only one Floyd and that any other arrangements could be perceived a dismal attempt, but this was done with taste, in my opinion. Great job.

  • i frankly don't like this version at all...any attempt to re arrange this song is superfluous...water's late "in the flesh" version too..the force of this song is the incredible original arrangement and its masterful balance between reversed tapes, synth, VCS 3 voice, tympani and, of course, acoustic guitar...

  • why not put this much effort into your own music. Guess they have no original ideas.

  • Great great smooth and cool

  • But there`s only 1 Elvis!

  • not bad- remember PF has about 10 band members and 3 back up singers. this song really requires 2 keyboards and 2 guitars to get the depth- a 12 string acoustic up front..and probably 2 kurzweil -one strings and the other mini moog with heavy pitch bend..

these guys did a very credible job with 4 players.

  • its great...... nice cover yall nailed it 5/5

  • If any one has any complaints about this cover, you can stick it. Try covering it yourself then see what you say.

  • Awesome cover guys-Keep up the good work. - never mind the narrow minded haters.

  • a quality effort, nice. Seen Floyd myself and this definitely does them credit

  • I've seen the real PF including 1 of 12 US Wall Shows and other Tours, also Roger solo...It was/is my VERY good fortune to live near a venue/area they play frequently...just take my word for it Go see them, close your eyes and listen to something YOU or I thought we'd ever hear again...

  • GREAT !!!

  • nice job. this song has to be hard as hell to cover.

  • the instrument parts good but the vocals could use a little work good job though.

  • This is a GREAT cover

  • nice cover !

  • Still a Pink Floyd song, and it's all good

  • Good cover but its missing somethig. I think they should put the electrics away for this song and use the 12 string acoustic, the acoustic and keyboards really make this song what it is.

  • good cover, i'd pay to see them

  • I've seen Gimour Floyd live twice and Roger Waters live once. This cover is amazingly well done. I would see this band in a heartbeat.

  • v=RssrUskMpkQ

the machine at toads place aug 2009

  • i know pink floyd covers are always hard and this one is OK but the best one ive found is by shadows fall

  • crap cover

    sorry pink floyd

  • come on ! it's not that bad ! :)

  • who r they?

  • fuck this is why i do drug..

  • how can anyone give this a thumbs down!

  • You've got the idea, we need to dig deep, think long & hard before we scatter away a talent. I was born in 57, just old enough to remember hearing of all the nastiness of WWII, Hitler and Nazism. I had nightmares of being drug out into the street, chased and shot by ice-cold Nazi storm troopers. All the torment & torture that was exacted upon people just because of their family pedigree. It's no different than what has happened in the last 25 years, same cost & goal just a different name.

  • @shakou1 to make the bar look like a joint ;)

  • Nah, nothing to come with against Pink Floyd

  • So true dean. but these guys are exceptional! I saw their show in S>F> ...just like a floyd concert .THEY ARE INCREDIBLE.

  • Nice cover..Good job...

    Thanks for sharing Dean.......1000*

  • It takes a lot of guts to do a floyd cover man and who ever does them got guts

  • It certainly does and this one is very good.

    Thanks Dean...

  • this is not bad, in fact is really good... i dig bands that cover Floyd, its always cool how different people take on this material. well done ~

  • I saw these guys once in Cleveland

  • lucky bastard

  • talking about the cover band. But I wish I would've seen the actual band but I couldn't because I didn't exist at the time lol

  • amazing

  • WTF ????

  • Sounds almost like Opeth covering this.

  • Good , very good performance !! Congratulations from Tijuana Mexico Rigo and Stella

  • THE BEST COVER

  • What a great cover, I like much more of this than the roger waters's band one

  • this singing with the instrumental of waters' band would be the best

  • how can u like a cover more than the original

  • weirdal1605: He's not saying he likes a cover more than the original. He's saying he likes a cover more than a cover. He's referring to the live version produced by Roger Waters in 2000 in which Roger Waters sings it in his creaky-cracky voice. Gilmour was the original singer, not Waters. I agree this is better than Waters' live version. This is very nice!

  • Shadows Fall had the greatest cover for this song.

  • This is, by far, my favourite PF track and I thought these guys nailed it bang on.

    Well done. Loved it.

  • Queensryche did an incredibly great cover of this

  • damn good cover

  • can someone tell me what kind of keyboard would be good to emulate those sounds. love the synth solo toward the middle, what is using for that.

  • I bought some batteries, but they weren't included

  • hahahahhahah i actually just laughed so hard!

  • Wonderful cover...Thanks for posting

  • Greatest cover I've ever seen. In my life. Especially considering how difficult it must be to replicate one of the most haunting, bonechilling masterpieces ever written. Well done!

  • this song is nothing without the keyboard, these guys did a great job, but may i say.....WORK ON THE VOCALS! still its great 4 stars

  • Awesome.

  • this gus are the most horrible thing that ever happen 2 music...bunch of wanna b's...

  • thats amazing! are they: The Australien Pink Floyd?

  • Who are they??? That was an amazing cover!

  • Justice has been served!

  • BLOWN AWAY!

  • Who are these people, that's not Roger. But damn their good!

  • great song....great cover

  • Saw them in Florida... THEY PLAY REALY GOOD!

  • Very well done, to the keyboardist in particular. May I ask which synth your using for the analog lead sound?

  • SAW THESE CATS LAST YEAR.

    GREAT BAND !

  • hijos de puta....se la sacaron con este rolo cabrones....CONGRATULATIONS!!!

  • AWESOME!!! 5 stars

  • Wow, I love this cover. The drums are unexpected, but absolutely amazing.

  • That is a good ass fucking song.

    Holy shit good ass cover!

  • It never ceases to amaze me that the general bloody public can say things like "this is crap" etc. The ignorance of people! these boys have put alot of blood sweat and tears into the show. Anyone who has been on the other side of the coin knows this. Perhaps some of the people involved in the negative comments might like to try and recreate this themselves and see how they get on!

Come on! Let's see your version of this song!

    Peace out!

  • wtf is shit crap!

  • they soud even better in person!

hopin to go see them new years eve @ penns peak pa

  • dis not floyd-fuk urself

  • thay sound as good as Pink Floyd but thay can't sing for shit....

  • great!!!!!!they played excellent!

  • drums eh? well as long as its done tastefully its all good

  • wait, so who is this performing this song?

  • It's the Pink Floyd tribute band The Machine... the best anywhere, and they just keep getting better... you gotta see a live show!

  • If this is the best I'll wait for Floyd to reunite before watching this. Drums in "Welcome"?! Sad and lame.

  • Fuck off. The best Floyd covers band in the world is Pink Floyd Experience, from New Zealand.

They are, in fact, the ONLY PF covers band endorsed by Roger Waters.

Go stick anything else up your arse, watch PFE and be amazed. You could swear it was Floyd.

  • I HAVE heard that the Pink Floyd Experience from New Zealand is very good (NOT the PFX from CA/Canada though), and I'd go see them if I ever got the chance. Now, have YOU ever seen The Machine live? I'm guessing not, otherwise you'd love them too... I mean there's a REASON they've flourished for almost 20 years now! And you could've stated your preference without all the rudeness... or wait, I'm sorry, maybe you couldn't.

  • Agreed. Saw them do the wall in 04.

Fucking fantastic. Actually they did Dark side too.

  • That was the nz version. The pink Floyd Experience.

  • Woa! The synth is very cool!

  • Sorry about your problems, but I don't have time or interest in this kind of bullshit. I've said my opinion and thoughts about all this. the original Pink floyd (all members in it) rocked..

  • you don't have time or interest yet you keep replying. I don't disagree with you but I simply said that my opinion in TC is a better drummer. Doesn't mean I am right. We are all entitled to our opinions.

  • Ei mulla mitään ongelmaa ole, vituttaa vain tyypit joilla ei ole arvostusta oikeita musiikin pioneereja kuten Pink Floydia kohtaan.. that's all

Vsego horoshego.

  • I have to say that I have never really liked cover-bands, but with this you did great job. It sounded really good! (Oh by the way.. FUCK YOU tab1973)

  • to what do I owe the pleasure of this obnoxious comment? What is your problem?

  • awesome visual ..

no need 2 mention i adore the music

  • where do these guys come from???

  • New York state, like outside NYC. I see you're in the U.K. The band tours Europe every year now, but mostly Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands. Watch their tour schedule though, and definitely go see a show if you ever get the chance... they will not disappoint!

  • I see Joe is growing his hair back! LOL... Very Cool! <3 The Machine ROCKS!!

  • Giggles, this was recorded in 2005... Joe's hair got much longer than this... BUT... he just got it all cut off last month for the European tour! Lots of us were disappointed, but I saw him on NYE and it looks good. I'm Vikki on their forum by the way... come check out the new pics and stuff!

  • Hey Todd You are awesome. My family and I have been going to see the Machine for years. I have had the pleasure of even seeing you guys in San Diego, CA back in 2002. I always love the performances. Tell Joe, Nail, and Ryan hello! I gave Joe a Nimitz t-shirt back in like 2003-4 (I know his bro was on the ship, so was I) Anyway, I can't wait to see you guys again. I'd love to see your Beatle Jams too!! Take care!! The Machine ROCKS!!

  • Hey Giggles, just to update you... after 10 years of wonderful service Neil left the band in Sept 06 to pursue his own Nail music... I happened to catch his last show. But have no fears, Scott Chasolen is incredible on keys... I've seen 4 shows with him so far... still the best Floyd tribute anywhere!

  • Yeah I have seen Neil in lots of shows. I've chatted with him lots. He left before in the 90s too, and the band had split a couple of times (to pursue Joe/Todd's jazz band, etc) But, we just can't get enough of them, and they always come back :)

  • Rock on man! \m/

  • wow...what an excellent version. well done

  • I enjoyed the drums on this, it adds something good in my view. But then again, I am a drummer too! :)

  • great performance - well, except drums. but anyway you guys are great. have seen you live in duisburg last year, will see you in essen this year.

  • I think The Machine did an awesome job on this song, and I for one like the drums. I recently heard them do this song accoustically... very different sounding, but it worked. Anything these guys do is amazing really! Go check them out for yourself!

  • Really good atmospheric sounds!

  • Todd, pay no mind to the comments about the drums. I like it this way. Keeps it more interesting then the original. And dude, you can out-drum Nick Mason anyday.

  • Th drums make this song make it sound horriable ifk though you do a good job with the rest. Well done Guys

  • Thats an incredible cover....wut kind of synthesizer is the keyboardist using?

  • It's always good to hear someone do this song- and you guys did a great job! My only, ever-so-slight bit of a negative thought- the drums. The guys a good drummer- it's just personal; I prefer the song without them in THIS way- but other than that, you out did yourselves- truly great!!

  • hey bro. all good.. to each is own.. we added the drums for the dramatic effect is has on the song. Since we're a live band we need to keep our audience grooving with us.. The song plods along without the beat. Thanks for your comments. take care. T.M.
