Presonally i prefer the original, when she leaves or whatever happened. But personally i hope she survived because i added her and my character in my hexen 3 mod for nwn 1, and their supposed to be married and you play as their son/daughter. So i realy hope she survived, otherwise i have to change that.
That mod was complete trash, the only good thing about it was that it added the chance of flirting with some characters. And it did make Ammon Jerro say that they never saw her again.
Well that mod which was supposed to continue the romances from the Original Campaign to motb didn't work at all. First the glitch with neeshka, then i didn't even get an epilouge with Elanee. Sigh what a waste of time.
i'm not sure why, because i've always enjoyed romance stories in video games, but for some reason this scene reminds me that the person who wrote this is note a pretty elf girl, but instead most likely a sweaty fat guy who's just been too lonely for most of his life... ok, exaggeration but still, it's pretty depressing to think that it's actually just some douchebag whose job is to make lonely nerds feel empathy for a set of pixels...
I think Elanee was secretely pleased when Shandra was killed. I remember her remarking to my character " I see you've forgotten about me already because you've been spending a lot of time with Shandra" . To hear Elanee talk you'd think Shandra was hitting on your character. There's a part of me that wishes Shandra survived just to see how Elanee would've reacted at this point instead :P
You had to travel with Shandra throughout all of act 2 as she never wanted to leave your side and Elanee seemed to be jealous; well at least that's what I think when I spoke to her at the keep. Every character in this game actually means something :) I hope there is a Neverwinter Nights 3 :)
But you may be able to have a MotB epilogue with her thanks to a MotB mod being put out that lets you continue an OC campaign romance in the epilogue(s).
@pplr1 I installed that mod when i replayed the game, but then it glitched and neeshka was on the wall with my elf character, but Elanee confessed she loved my character. I was like- facepalm when that happened.
I would prefer romance with Qara (she is better looking). This sorta reminds me of the Bastila romance of KOTOR. Bastila is sorta a cross between Elanee (given the honorable personality and imense power) and Qara (with the attitude and everything else). I always thought that the main romance would be with Shandra for some reason. It just seems like there is more chemistry between the Knight and her.
I just blew the bridges before this scene with Elanee and Qara, giving Elanee the group of archers you save...and after the romance scene...moment of awkwardness, when the guard wakes you up, the three archers were in the room with Elanee and I.
Actuelly i think Elanee might have survived becouse in storm of Zehir expansion when you reach Port Llast the bartender there says something about a pretty elf woman that talks to animals so it might be Elanee

Though I do find the fact Elanee could love a Half Orc rather unusual because that's what my character is in the game.

I find Neeshka physically attractive but I like Elanees personality much more. I hope she didnt die at the end. I hope she got away.
I never thought much of the female romance choices.
Paladins annoy the piss out of me so Casavir was a no no.
& bishop was an asshole, though he did make me lol a few times.
