this video really doesn't tell anything how game runs. even my 700 euro asus laptop runs with full graphics if you are over 5 km high. Try to land on san francisco or some large city and film it.

I play FSX with my homebuild gaming computer.

@DoctorMcBrown when you mean interupt do you mean it lags and your fps drops? another screen recording software is camtasia im not sure if its actually better because i run on a different type of computer if it lags meaning the fps drops even on camtasia then you pc isnt powerful enough to run both programs smoothly but any recording software will drop the fps but some less than others if its really bad on any program you could upgrade your graphics card or something

@Sam737loverfsx Thats a bit odd, But you must also realize and this might sound stupid but the actual game engine for FSX is really nit picky therefore it most cases when a person have really modern parts the Engine will not see them as useable resource for the game. FSX is best run on parts from 2007 or 08 Like a 9800 GTX or Intel Qseries of CPU and so on. I know that might sound crazy but thats what a guy told me from Microsoft ones when i called them for support about the game.

@Sam737loverfsx You probably have hyper-threading enabled, go google on how to disable it since it has to be done within the BIOS. Also, Mayor, new parts work perfectly on FSX.

@fxdesca Well i used REX i love REX (Real Environment Xtreme) Overland Planes and then ESB Series DLL files to change the color tone to the graphics. As well all setting are set as high as possible except Traffic and glow.

Dude do you seriously get 50 fps without Fraps? I got my Alienware M17x last week with an i7 2820 @ 2.4ghz and a Radeon 6790 and I've gotent a smooth 28 fps at best. Only maxed slider is my global texture resolution and everything else is middle-ranged on sliders. REX takes me down to about 18-20 fps and this is all without running Fraps. Are your settings all on lows or something?

@Garuda03 Well here is the thing, my alienware i have a ATI HD5870 Mobility Radeon videdo card chip set, which is close to a modern GTX 570 or ATI version a HD6950, what you have my friend is a 6790 which is like a GTS 550 Ti, so is not FSX is what type of video card you have, and sorry to say your video chip set is a low end video card only ment to use for light gaming and/or games with very low settings.

@TheMayor5000 I want to say first that the graphics look nice, but 50+ at JFK default, is a maybe on your rig. Your system doesnt support that much power. Im sure you have a nice Laptop but you see the lag in the fps with your videos, even with fraps on if you were at 50 fps it would only drop the most 10 fps which would be 40 fps which is great but you said with fraps on you get around 23 and that is 27 fps loss from 50. Something doesnt add up. Im sorry but I think your getting 11 fps.

@TheMayor5000 Cont' from previous comment. Believe me when you look at the clouds in your video and they are stuttering like that, its not even close to 20 fps, but more like 10 to 13 fps. I have one of the strongest systems out there and I make fsx videos. Now there may be something I can do to help you with your settings to improve the fps. Btw the GTX 590 is a waste of money because it only has 630 mhz core clock speed and the 580 has 772 mhz.. You want to compare, what is your Vantage Bench Mark score. Mine is 29,780. Not bad.

Hi I was wondering if you could help. I have FSX gold Edt. I use windows 7 which i have downloaded onto an apple computer. When i start the game everthing is fine. But after about 40 mins into a flight, a message comes up saying that FSX has stopped working. it immediately goes back to the desktop and i cant get back to my flight! Any recommendations??
