The only modification necessary is adapting the saw to fit a conically ground handsaw blade (e.g. silky saw). If you just adapt the blade to fit the saw the blade will break. These blades cut WAY faster than anything you can get off the shelf for a reciprocating saw. Makita lxt, fantastic saw, better than the competition. Yes fairly heavy but holding with both arms all day, get more done than with loppers... and easier work. 30 mins per battery, 30 mins to charge.

you say it's modified, how?, looks std. I like the poly pipe holster idea. how heavy is it, arms would get tired.
