nice work, i just finished reading the book and i was searching about it and here i am, for me this book was epic! one of a kind, so depressing yet so beautiful, i wouls to watch a movie about it, but at the same time im afraid that they willl ruin the book, because this great book need a really epic movie.
excellent video....Although I think this book will be one of the hardest to translate into a movie.Since all of us have different mind eyes when we read this wonderful book. And I am sure if we read it again in perhaps ten years later we will have different scenes in our mind.
This video made me cry a year ago when I found it, and it even makes me cry right now. Such a marvelous book, with the power to invoke disturbing feelings inside ourselves, even when we saw nothing but images and names floating with a beautiful song in the background. Great job, mister. Aim for the extended version with all the characters and theirs magic finger of solitude. Would love to see Rebeca eating mud and Amaranta knitting her own shroud. I say thank you.
this book is so godamn good .. i will be the first to protest in order to ban the filiming of this book .. im gonna get this book tatttooed i love thi sboook
Well done. The book was mesmorizing. I feel compelled to be poetic when saying the following, but I don't have the time to sulpt the words with the care that they require: The passages in "One Hundred Years of Solitude" about Remedios the Beauty (as well as the love between Meme and Mauricio Babilonia) where absolutley beautiful. I actually had to lower the book to my lap, look away, and take a deep breath and times so as not to be overwhelmed by teh sheer poetry and passion of the writing.
I hate you man ,I searched for the movie thinking that it was really done, but then I realized that you made it up, fantastic work, you made me feel that this is a real movie.
Beautiful work. I love the choice of music and the images corresponding with each Buendias name. But I have to ask, seeing as you included actors, who did you see in which role? Or were they just random names you added?
@FlannelPajama I didn't really envision anyone playing any particular role. i had to include actors as part of the assignment and asked a friend to give me a list of actors.
@nothingness36 best book ever, you will not find a book like that anywhere else. it so amazing. and at the end you will swallow something very big through your brain
i absolutely loved this! You did a terrific job; it would have been even cooler if you could have done a little montage for every character like Amaranta with a burning hand.
Felicidades a quien lo realizó..de verdad te remite al instante a la novela del GABO.. la música excelente.. de verdad Felicidades.!!! Lastima que no han hecho el filme del texto
one hundred years of solitude should be left to the confines of literature.. to make an attempt to replicate the pure intensity and emotion that garcia expounds in this extradornary novel seems like an insurmountable task but so be it
Excelent video, as Colombian I found this video very interesting and worth a using the name of Cien Años de Soledad. The only thing I don't like is the tango music, it's like using a celtic song for a movie about american cowboys.
Hm, you might right about the cultural appropriacy of the song. Still, I feel that the music catches the atmosphere of the book quite well. Especially the first part.
Really fantastic. I am currently reading the novel and it's great, just hard to remember all the names because they are so similar! I liked the goldfish a lot as they are mentioned often throughout the book. 5 stars from me!
I enjoyed this and there are some very creative ideas in here. There are a few legibility issues and maybe some benefit from keyframe interpolation, but other than that, good job!
hehe, first i saw it,and then really thought there was a movie and went so happy, wow, great job, there should really be a movie on this novel.whether it'll be huge success and breakthrough or none.good work, keep it up :)
when i presented this video to my class, the ONE question i was asked was about the ruler. that was pretty embarrassing to have to answer. now everyone thinks it's a porno book or something. i wanted to yell "IT'S A NOBEL PRIZE WINNING BOOK!" haha.
@japinthegap I love your work. I'm almost done wtith reading OHYOS But I have to ask... What's up with the ruler? I can't remember... Thanks in advance! And Oncwe again, I LOVE YOUR WORK... it's amazing!
@japinthegap I have to ask why is the ruler associated with porno? At the begining I thought it was going to count until 100, thinking that was the timeline of the "title", because the book never says that the events described were in a 100 years period. Aside from that, I loved the graphics chosen to represent the characters, really liked the music, the typeface used... It really gave me the sensation I was going to watch a blockbuster. Congrats!!
@yogagye the ruler may be associated with the name of José Arcádio because of the part of his body that gives him fame. If this isn't clear enough for you, try his penis. Indeed, big penis.
fantastic
