Every new performance i watch of CC makes me realize that they are the most genuine, whole hearted competing team in these competitions; they truly understand that hip hop and choreo can encompass a large spectrum of genres and not just "hard hitting and swag" type of music. They make choreography so amazingly and revolutionary, that it takes our breath away. I don't know about y'all, but CC has made me hyped up, cry, excited, mesmermized...basically experience almost every emotion.
Amazing message! beautiful piece. this has reminded me that dance is not just about moving, having fun and looking good but that through your expression you can tell a story and that movements have meaning if you give it that power. Expression of oneself in there movement gives it life and can brings life to others!

We all get it's not all about winning - but again, what's the point of these competitions if not to compete with other teams and to see who's the best? What's the point of having placements to begin with if people get so butthurt about saying which team they think is better? I bet a lot of these dancers, including in choreo cookies, love to dance to compete and to win as much as they love to just dance.
At first, I was hatin on Choreo Cookies, But When I saw this, realized how blind I was for not appreciating them. Almost cried on the last part. Good Job Choreo Cookies. You Deserved It.

This should've gotten first place, although you guys are right in saying that it's not about winning or placement in the competition. This performance damn near made me cry, the choreography went so perfect with the song and the fact that everyone had a different costume literally looking like ordinary people dancing together made it stand out much more than any other performance. ppl need to realise that this was a DEEP performance so it probably was 10 times more powerful and effective live ...so even though GRV killed it as always this was probably more touching...thats probs why they got put 2nd....GRV Shouldve got placed somewhere tho!!!! definately
Again not just well done, but done on a theatrically professional level. This could be put right in a show. Very impressive, I cant say it brought me to tears but it had depth and truth which is the purpose of art. The whole cast was totally committed to the piece. When you see young independent groups like this doing choreos at this level both movement wise and emotionally you have to wonder why we get some of the garbage we get from the mainstream. I still give it 2nd place, SGBM 1st though.

CC brought out the beauty of John Legend's song "Ordinary People" from the beginning to the end. Now I don't know about any of you, but who else respects a musician like that through dance? Such an act of art and passion deserved first place to me, but then again this is BEYOND deserving any place--it already placed highest on my admiration and inspiration list because you don't see art like this very often.
imo this was first (i know i should ignore placings and stuff haha). But, everyone here who watches this knows....that CC epitomizes the passion and art of real, genuine Dance to the fullest because they dare to "step out of the box" so to speak and make choreography to ONE song in itself. this is the first time i've ever disagreed with where cc has placed, i thought sgbm and grv both did better than them and they were gifted 2nd place because of who they are and what they have done, not what they did on that night. and before all the "art" and "beautiful" comments come in, please dont disrespect every other team there and act as if this was the only beautiful piece of art on the stage that night. imo this was a solid 4th place.
@SincereDoper I understand what you're saying, and I don't agree with it (because I don't see how anyone can compare all these amazing performances and rank them like that) but by coming here and posting that you don't think they deserved that placing you're disrespecting Choreo Cookies. That may be how you feel, but in essence you're doing exactly what you told others not to do. I think we should all just appreciate, and be in awe of, every performance and leave placings out of it entirely.
@SincereDoper When people say it was beautiful and artistic, it's because of the way they blocked it and the way they told the story. It was the most beautiful performance of the night from that perspective and it definitely wasn't a gift.
@integlstrike1 It hurts me to say it, but I most definitely agree with you. This was absolutely beautiful, and incredible work, but SGBM's first set alone was better imo.
This is what I see as hip-hop. I must've missed the memo, but all of a sudden, the youth are all about swag, style, and hype. Such things are definitely part of hip-hop, but I feel like their current definitions are just so shallow. When did art become second to clothes and faux-attitude?

This is one of the few hip hop pieces that are so magical to me. It isn't big moves and power stunts, it is where the music and dancing are melded together so perfectly it doesn't matter if it isn't flashy or not. It is dance in its purest form. Movements to a wonderful and feeling song.
This team placed because they are evolving. I saw a story. the other groups were amazing in their styles but this group CLEARLY told a story. When you can see a story without words that feeling has no comparison ;-) they KILLED THAT.
O.O...they took an amzing , if not slightly slow song...and made their already amazing choreo visually fufill the very important and beautiful message of the song. Genius to say the VERY least!
So.... Why arent you guys an exhibition team yet!!!!!!?? lol... very clean and percise... you guys are a mature and well rounded team and love to see your talent on stage everytime... Brought tears to our eyes to watch since we just had one of our own pass away... People who think that they shouldn't have placed apparently have a very shallow sense in musicality. The formations were on point, the choreography was detailed and precise, the whole piece was complicated yet brilliant. I honestly believe people just based their opinion on the song choice which shouldn't even be a deciding factor. Dance isn't just about high energy and crowd pleasing.
@Xm0nkeyxbutt hate to say this but you as well have a very shallow sense of understanding of people's opinions. I'm pretty sure that half of the people that said that they shouldn't have placed know what they're talking about and some dont. "The formations were on point, the choreography was detailed and precise", you say?. There were 3 other teams that did just that and even better. I have respect for this team but I too think that they didnt deserve 2nd place after watching other groups.
I think SGBM was better this year (never thought I would be saying that haha). Shitkingz shouldnt even be competing as a 4 man crew in this competition, and i personally feel they are overrated.
@MrJonnyBlaze96 Yea haha I get what you say about a 4 man crew going against crews with like 30. They're too different to judge fairly. I thought last years performance was way over rated, but this years one was way better though.
The piece was alright, had some good moments. But I really don't think they should have gotten 2nd. Shit Kingz and SGBM, hard for me to choose which one should have placed 1st.

this is the first time i've ever disagreed with where cc has placed, i thought sgbm and grv both did better than them and they were gifted 2nd place because of who they are and what they have done, not what they did on that night. and before all the "art" and "beautiful" comments come in, please dont disrespect every other team there and act as if this was the only beautiful piece of art on the stage that night. imo this was a solid 4th place.

@SincereDoper I understand what you're saying, and I don't agree with it (because I don't see how anyone can compare all these amazing performances and rank them like that) but by coming here and posting that you don't think they deserved that placing you're disrespecting Choreo Cookies. That may be how you feel, but in essence you're doing exactly what you told others not to do. I think we should all just appreciate, and be in awe of, every performance and leave placings out of it entirely.

@SincereDoper When people say it was beautiful and artistic, it's because of the way they blocked it and the way they told the story. It was the most beautiful performance of the night from that perspective and it definitely wasn't a gift.

This is what I see as hip-hop. I must've missed the memo, but all of a sudden, the youth are all about swag, style, and hype. Such things are definitely part of hip-hop, but I feel like their current definitions are just so shallow. When did art become second to clothes and faux-attitude?

This is one of the few hip hop pieces that are so magical to me. It isn't big moves and power stunts, it is where the music and dancing are melded together so perfectly it doesn't matter if it isn't flashy or not. It is dance in its purest form. Movements to a wonderful and feeling song.

This team placed because they are evolving. I saw a story. the other groups were amazing in their styles but this group CLEARLY told a story. When you can see a story without words that feeling has no comparison ;-) they KILLED THAT.

People who think that they shouldn't have placed apparently have a very shallow sense in musicality. The formations were on point, the choreography was detailed and precise, the whole piece was complicated yet brilliant. I honestly believe people just based their opinion on the song choice which shouldn't even be a deciding factor. Dance isn't just about high energy and crowd pleasing.

I'm pretty sure that half of the people that said that they shouldn't have placed know what they're talking about and some dont. "The formations were on point, the choreography was detailed and precise", you say?. There were 3 other teams that did just that and even better. I have respect for this team but I too think that they didnt deserve 2nd place after watching other groups.

I think SGBM was better this year (never thought I would be saying that haha). Shitkingz shouldnt even be competing as a 4 man crew in this competition, and i personally feel they are overrated.
