In the audio commentary of the movie, Leigh Whannell (Adam) says that they wanted to show Amanda killing Adam as a mercy killing, and they didnt talk about any romantic story between Adam and Amanda as well, the death of Adam was suppose to show Amanda's flaws and how even after passing jigsaws test she still has anger problems and feels guilty about life, but i really hope Adam is alive :P

Awh.. this is sad. If they had put this scene in the final movie along with the other Amanda and Adam scene they would've had a more bigger background for Amanda and the more emotional side to her. Then if they actually had Adam live in the first movie they could've been the "Saw couple" and then later they could've killed Adam. Or they could've been a couple before, and when John learned about it, he could've made Amanda kill him on purpose, then it would lead to her drug use and her cutting.

It is explained in Saw VI. Hoffman wrote the letter to her telling her that he is blackmailing her. Hoffman knew that Amanda was with Cecil when Cecil broke into the hospital and killed John's unborn son. He tells Amanda that she has to kill the nurse in Saw III or he will tell John.

I wonder if John new about it already? He said in Saw 3 that he left a letter for Amanda in his desk. The it shows Amanda reading a letter and breaking down. Then in Saw 6 it explains the letter, but it was from Hoffman. I'm just a bit confused? Did Hoffman take John's letter to her and give her the blackmale letter?

No. Amanda killed Adam as a mercy killing, because she felt guilty. It's the only time we see any humanity left in her.

Marysawfan, the reason Amanda kills Adam is because she feels bad for him. He's already dying slowly from starvation (being locked in the bathroom by Jigsaw), and Amanda just wanted to end his misery, hence suffocating him with the plastic bag. lol He would of died no matter what, anyway.

And seeing how Amanda looks up to John and follows his rules for the most part, the only other option she thought she had was to suffocate him (since she couldn't stand knowing that he was suffering an incredibly slow and painful death). When Amanda did end up suffocating him, he could finally be "set free" so to speak.

Its on the theatrical DVD release as a special feature. the scene goes like this: Adam walks past Amanda and says her hair looks ''very rockstar'' she says nothing to this and just stares at him, then Adam walks up to her and gives her an invitation to see his buddy's band perform and asks if she lives in his Apartment block, she claims ''Im just visiting'' and as she turns to leave Adam stops her and asks her if he can expect to see her at the show, Amanda flatly tells him ''Probably not''

In my opinion Adam's death at the hands of Amanda still doesn't feel complete even with the inclusion of this scene although it does help. What they should've done is restore the scene prior to SAW 1 where Adam greets Amanda by complimenting her hair, inviting her to a show and taking her picture. That scene would've made the whole Adam-Amanda bathroom scene make a lot more sense!
