The end of the Iraq story has not been told, the surge may be only a temporary success. Basically in Iraq, we're playing referee to a civil war anyway. The surge didn't calm things down in Iraq. Bribing local warlords did the trick.

The founding fathers had many debates about freeing the slaves, and the genius of the Constitution includes a mechanism for amendments. Changing it because of a handful of radical muslims? No way I'll accept that. Most major amendments to the Constitution increased liberty for individuals, where as "Patriot Act" type thinking only empowers government, which is against the whole idea of American uniqueness. Oppressive government is a far greater threat than religious idiots with beards.

She could have talked about how the economy was on the verge of collapse at the end of 2008, how the credit market became frozen, how failing to provide the banks with emergency credit would have meant that no one anywhere would have been able to take out a major loan, and a financial meltdown would have ensued.

I did not know that a politician uses a teleprompter to answer off the cuff questionsby a news reporter. In MY opinion, th equestions asked of Mrs. Plain were the type that any high school student with a knowledge of current affairs in the USA over the past 3-4 years would have been able toanswer way better than Mrs. Plain did. The fact that she was a govenor of a US state at the time of this interview made the situation even worse. A litttle reading would have yielded better answers.

Every single time I watch this I am utterly speechless. Like her thoughts are kind of like dots and she's constantly trying to connect them together into one long point that never gets made, as we watch in utter horror, that anyone this unqualified would ever agree to run for Vice President.
Her ambition overtook any common sense she may have once had. I don't blame the press, I blame her for accepting the offer to run. If she really cared about the country she would have declined the offer

I wish we could come up with a political rating system called IQ (Integrity Quotient) --- and somehow these were really arrived at with as much impartiality as possible. If, for example, Russ Feingold scored a 98 out of 100, and George W. Bush scored a 0, and McCain scored perhaps a 25, and Obama maybe a 65-75, what would Sarah's score be in this kind of context? of course you may not agree with my initial ratings sample....

She is truly a moron and one reason why McCain lost in November is that many of his own supporters were appalled by her lack of knowledge and experience.They just could not see her in the White House if McCain had suffered a heart attack. By selecting her, McCain at a stroke defeated his own argument that Barak Obama was too inexperienced to be President.

Absolutely all the evidence shows he is a phenomenal scholar, regardless of all the right wing attempts to dethrone him. Additionally, his unedited exchange with media, foreign & domestic is also intellectually way above that which was displayed by previous presidents, ok maybe Bill Clinton was also very good.
