  • I lived in Dallas around this time. The place was booming. I had to smile at the scene showing South Fork. I went there for a company meeting - it has a meeting facility on its grounds. We took the tour of the place and it was lots of fun. What you DON'T see though, is the encroaching suburbs just off in the distance- mid rise buildings, and housing developments. Now, it's surrounded. Dallas is a fun city- excellent food.

  • This one is my favorite, as well. This has got to be one of the greatest TV themes ever written.

  • this is my favourite. i love the split screens and the fly over scenes of Downtown Dallas

  • By the time this season arrived, DALLAS was so hot it was burning up the network with popularity! must confess. I was addicted. The new series had better live up to this reputation or I'll be disappointed.

  • Friday Nights.... it was always Dallas...20/20... then bedtime :) hmmmmmmmm

  • I am not one for tampering with a perfect product but this season's new opening was and is my favorite. It got rid of that "disco" feel to it and made it sound more impressive. Dynasty's theme song and their back ground music has always been Cheesey and campy. Jerauld Immel's Dallas theme and its background music were always classy and fitting for the scenes they set up..

  • Of all the variations of the Dallas theme, this one is my all time favorite version. Too bad this rendition is not on any CD,

  • dallas is not a soap opera!!!

  • awesomeness!

  • the first action soap opera!!!

  • Great video clip. Yes these opening credits are for the 1984/1985 season of Dallas.
