@rajiation There is far more to protection than just the shell. The internal EPS is equally important. The full carbon shell compared to a fiber/kevlar/carbon shell from the same manufacturer is going to be pretty much the same for managing energy. The main benefit would be a weight savings.
The Corsair V is both ECE & SNELL certified in their European line.I dont think they make diff ones for the US since they are certified in both.Thats awesome! Also, the Corsair V,X12 and RSR2 scored perfect in the SHARP test for their European counter parts.I'm sure the US versions are as good. What surprised me was that Bell Europe had diff models compared to the US.But what was impressive was all their models scored perfect. If Bell US has the same quality, then they are the best manufacturer IMO.
@jimff1 Any of these will put a smile on your face. Using the information provided choose the one that suits you best (or the one you like the look of best). Everyone of these helmets are a home run IMO. I love them all and have lots of time in all of them.
@cmttable24 I do not have a ton of experience with the Suomy. The main reasons for this would be the fit is unique and the availability is less than I like to see.
(part 2)---- for example: the monster helmet featured in the (2010 Premium Helmet Comparison), if you put the video next to the picture of the helmet, the video of the helmet COMPLETELY crushes the pictures of the helmet.
you don't have to go into detail on the features, just give a 360 view of the helmets, could take 5-6 seconds per helmet, if that much.
(part 1)---- what's good brian, i'm an avid fan and customer of stg!!!. i just have a favor to ask, could u do a quick little show showing what's left in stock of the 2010 corsair V? Because honestly when i look at your vids and see the helmets, the color of the helmets are way way better than the color in the pictures, they are deeper, bolder, and richer!!!!
I'm in the market of purchasing a new helmet, but i don't want to spend $800++ bucks and get a helmet and it wasn't what i expected.
@scholesville They make nice helmets as well. I have not ridden in an AGV since my TiTech Gothic and Arabesque Stealth. We are working on bringing them into the mix. It takes a lot of time to get a good feel for the helmets so time is an issue as well.
Hi Brian! What's considered to be safer, a fiberglass/kevlar/carbon fiber shell or a full carbon fiber shell?

Brian, the Bell Star has the full Carbon Fibre helmet. Does it weigh the same as the normal non-CF Bell Star helmet?
pnevma382 8 months ago
@pnevma382 It is pretty darn close in weight. A little less, just not much. The Star has never felt heavy to me when riding.

All your helmet reviews have 3 on a table or bench and one straggling somewhere else. You need to get a table that fits four helmets! Love the vids!
