  • It's hard to realize we've said our last good byes,

where could the dreams have gone through

  • i am very displeased because i want to add this to my playlist but i cant you tube can you please fix this problem please!

  • Where did those whistles come from? It's not on my CD. I don't really like it. The song is still amazing though. I like today's top 40, but I really miss songs like this.

  • 20yrs ago LOST ANGEL still haunts my dreams

  • A very beautiful classy song from a beautiful classy woman :) I never get tired of listening to this song.

  • BEAUTIFUL SONG....EXCEPTIONAL TALENT AND VOICE...none of the younger "artists de jour" sing like this. They are all electronically hyped up.

  • this song is so romantic and relaxing. it makes me wanna fall in love all over again and also misses those special moments...hmmmm

  • افضل اغانـــى اجنبيه رومانسية I'm lost, I'm lost without you baby

The days aren't the same the nights are cold and gray

I need you in my life

    If not now then someday.....

  • افضل اغانـــى اجنبيه رومانسية Baby, just for tonight let me give myself to you

And all I ask is just for tonight love me like you used to do

    And I promise that I won't cry, I won't ask you why

I won't even try to change your feelings

If you just hold me tight, just once more, just for tonight.......

  • Okay, lemme get this straight -- sexy-ass Vanessa Williams is begging her ex to attend a no-strings-attached Let's F#^& For Old Time's Sake party. I would not have a problem telling Vanessa yes to this request.

  • BEAUTIFUL SONG....just beautiful...thats all i can say......a beautiful song sang by a beautiful person.

  • 12 people asked just for tonight and got told NO!!!

  • what was the clip before the video? Would you happen to have it?

  • sensational, breath taking...the world's most beautiful woman. I LOVE YOU VANESSA.

  • I could spend hours listening to and watching Vanessa Williams. If I could only take the work of just one artist with me somewhere (let's say) if I were lost on an island-- short of taking the real woman, (smile) Vanessa would be that artist. How can one person, one woman be blessed with so much magic? Her music and beauty are what dreams are made of. It doesn't matter which song of hers you listen to. They're all examples of the highest level of artisanship with class sweetness and perfection.

  • Track#11 on the Comfort zone, this song brings back heartache decades ago, the lyrics conveyed my feelings at that time.

  • I'm a guy and I hate to admit this but this song is great.

  • @r3i6nm8n Same here. I hate that we still live in a society that condemns people for expressing all their sides. Women have a side that wants to break a chair over someone's head. Men have a side that wants to cry when a song catches them off guard. It's 2011--we need to get past this nonsense. This song is haunting.

  • This is the type of song that really makes you feel something. Really make you want to be in love. The kind of music you make love to. What happened to the good music of yesteryear??

  • @DDHeffner Crap like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Willow Smith ruined music.

  • I never get tired from listening to this song, over and over again, Vanessa in a class of her own. Simply the best

  • 12 people don't know music, how can you not like Vanessa Williams? beautiful voice, her songs are like a lullaby.

  • Vanessa is the perfect woman...she takes the breath away, and of course the song is awesome and brings back memories

  • @CSWLoveMusic - it's from the LP Comfort Zone, released in Aug '91

  • When year did it release?

  • She's the perfect artist!

  • Too bad no one can actually sing anymore. :'(

  • Definately a love song!!!!!

  • One of my favorite under-appreciated Vanessa Williams songs.

  • Comment removed

  • i love this song. The Comfort Zone album was my favorite as a small child. This particular song is the definition of "We're breaking up but I still love you."

  • ditto to your comment. I lost a love. this song is the best!

  • She is gorgeous!!

  • Awesome song, vioce and lady. Just wish all those "post-it" like comments didnt pop up all thru the video.

  • Che Donna STRAORDINARIA ......

  • Vanessa Williams' extraordinary singing on the usually 'painful to watch' talent portion of the Miss America Pageant was probably what ultimately sealed her win. Who knew she would turn out to be such a huge force in the recording industry?

  • This is the best video I've seen of her, just amazing, totally amazing

  • Rick Fox let this go? His new girl doesn't even come close. Dude, seriously?! And she's so classy that she turned down money for a tell-all about her ex husbands. THAT is a classy woman.

  • thank you for posting this. I forgot all about this song until now :)

  • Now this is real music, real talent. Need more like her. Such a beautiful song!!

  • I'm a transgender woman and I have always been told that I look like Vanessa Williams or a little bit better. My eyes are naturally a bluish-grey and when I used to perform onstage, I used to perform this song. I also used to perform Comfort Zone, Sweetest Days, and Darlin' I. She is one of the most talented and gorgeous singer ever.

  • this is almost the best song in the world to me, coming second to only "All the Man I need" by Whitney Houston.

  • this song makes me sad, is so pretty, the lyrics are beautiful

  • why so many annotations (CAPTIONS) on this Video.

  • Isn't there a longer version of this tune? I could've sworn that when I asked my friend Stephanie, she said that the version she had on a cassette single was longer than the album version. Where in this world can I find it?

  • love the entire feel of this video! Love the music from the early 1990's-- V W rocks!!

  • beautiful song, the most beautiful woman on the planet!

  • beautiful song, beautiful woman on the planet!

  • I'm VERY glad youtube finally allowed users to exclude captions because, honestly, they were very distracting while watching the videos, especially one as stunning as this one.

Anyway, thank you for uploading! I really love this video--Vanessa has always been a great beauty but add her voice and you just have one hell of a stunner. She can do pretty much everything and anything...more than a quadruple threat.

    A favorite--thank you!

  • DID I JUST SEE NAOMI CAMPBELL @ 0:36?

  • Holy shit, as a guy this song is one badass song. She kills it, too bad R&B nowadays suck.

  • Too bad R & B no longer sounds like this. These were the days.. Too bad the artists of today can not take a page from the past.

  • Sublimissime Music !

    Sublimissime Voix !

    Sublimissime Video !

    Sublimissime Vanessa Williams !

  • I wish that we still had this caliber of musical personalities in the world today.

A true legend and queen with a phenomenal voice and amazing talents!!!

  • A real queen right here.....

  • georgous woman, beautiful voice...amazing green eyes...real diva

  • so classy just like patti austin...real divas

  • Sweet

  • Amaaaaazing song and video!!! I'm in love. Music is my life.

  • SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL!

  • I love this song ..i love Vanessa ...you are the best !!!!

  • I loved this song. I wonder why she doesn't sing anymore.

  • Wow, never saw this particular video. I have to agree with some of the comments here. Vanessa is far more beautiful and interesting to watch AND listen to than our current crop of auto-tuned monstrosities - Gaga, K Perry, Kesha, Rihanna et al...And while Beyonce is clearly talented, she seems rather soulless in comparison doesn't she?

  • @Fussy64 There are artists today that have talent and could produce music as beautiful as this. But the pop music world is being by execs who do not understand music, but more of advertising and sales.

  • love this, gives me chills even today

  • Another beautful song from another beautiful singer. Here's some fun facts, in either May or June of 1992 this video entered at number 19 on the VH1 top 21 countdown, peaked at number 3, spent eight weeks on the countdown and finished in at number 37 on the year end top 50 countdown.

  • No wonder she was Miss America! This woman is SO FREAKING GORGEOUS!!!!

  • i love this song but it would of been ALOT better without ur stupid ass captions!

  • I love this song

  • I remember growing up hearing this song. I didn't what she was singing about, BUT I know it sounds beautiful and she being very pretty.

  • I love me some Vanessa, she has a lovely voice.

  • Would have enjoyed the video more without all the captions popping up throughout the video.

  • I've always loved you and your music........and of course.always will!!! :)

  • I just adore this - it means so very much. Thank you. x x

  • Pure sensuous magic!

  • i miss REAL ballads like this and classy singers like her...

  • I always thought this song should have been a bigger hit than it was. It's my most favorite of hers.

  • @StarX81 Absolutety! Amazing music. I have said it before and will say it again. She is from the era where you have to go there to know there.... She has been in some hurtful situations.... and has managed to bring it to this forum... As the saying goes.... You have to go there.. to know there... it is for those of thus that have been there that she sings..................

  • @StarX81

I know! I was in 7th or 8th grade when this came out and I just loved it and still do. One of the best songs on that album.

  • I wish I still had this radio mix that is not found on any CD. I used to have it on a promo CD that was released to a radio station I worked at. It's a step up from the CD version but it's still a great song.

  • I think VEVO just put a few videos, there are a lot of vanessas missing videos.

  • Today's songs have beat nothing else. They have no lasting power. I miss these classy women showing themselves to be great.

  • Everything about this song is classy

  • Beautiful person and beautiful song.

  • The ultimate want that person back song...lol I know i made a love/mix tape with this baby on it ;>.

  • How did we go from classy brilliant artists like Vanessa Williams to trash like Lil Kim and Rhianna? How did this happen?

  • @sflachuck we blinked and damnit T and A all over the place...with autotune voices. But that is why we have videos Ipods and CDs-I had to replace this album twice.Once because I played the hell out of it the second one was because someone took it.Trolls!

  • Very nice song

  • this song reminds me of myself....heheeeeeee

  • All of the comments you've added are ruining the video, I hope you'll consider taking them off.

  • I worked at a restaurant as a server in the 90's. This came on all the time.. You know those preset stations that restaurants use lol.

  • This woman is fabulous.

  • On June 2, 2009, she released her 8th studio album on Concord Records, titled The Real Thing. It features songs written and/or produced by Babyface, Stevie Wonder, Bill Withers, Bebel Gilberto, and Rex Rideout. The album is " a hybrid of samba, bossa nova, some salsa and also some pop and R&B" says Williams.

  • love

  • I so MISS the songs of the 90's!! Very few songs are as good as they were. I will admit some songs are catchy, and fun to listen too. But they will never NEVER compare to the songs of the 90's when music was good and a CD was worth buying.

  • What a great song. I forgot about it when I then heard it again in a store. It brought back memories of losing the love of my life and wishing that I had one more chance to make it right. If only life were like a song...

  • Great tune and video.Came out in 1992,was'nt the big hit that it should have been.

  • This is a fantastic tune, and it was'nt the big hit that it should have been. This came out in 1992,everything about this slow jam is on point. Both great tune & video. Thanks for the post youtube, vanessa williams is a helluva artist.

  • ok, lets admit. lady gaga and beyonce have some good songs.. not talent! Still i like lady gaga better.... but we cannot compare the new age to yesterYEARS! there is just no comparison... love songs dont matter anymore.... very sad, and im not even that old! go VANE!

  • This is a music era that is gone forever!

  • This is a classy video arrangement. She's perfect for this milleu of video art. She smoulders in every scene. There are absolutely no bad angles. She has been so incredibly underrated for far too long.....

  • Pure class!

  • I'd like to find out, isn't there a longer version of this song? Could somebody please send it to me in an email? I love it a lot!

  • 01:35 so funny. @ youth sentimentz!!

  • She is so beautiful. Absolutely stunning, WOW!

  • beautiful song and arrangement, thansk for posting. vanessa is in the same league as tia turner, but to some extent ununderated. tks again tot siens.

  • I meant, my fave song from Vanessa. Not my fave song ever. Just to want clarify this.

  • My favorite Song from all time. In fact, I used to "Bang" whole album all the time. Comfort Zone is one of the most underrated Contemporary R&B albums EVER.

  • I think Vanessa has a beautiful voice she is one of my favorite singers.

  • Perfect voice and beauty...

  • I admire this video and song for its soulfulness and vulnerability.

  • she should have sang the avatar theme when i see you she would have been purfect for the song what a voice

  • This is beautiful - thank you. xx

  • That Comfort Zone cd is the total bomb!! What emotional songs on there too.

  • Comfort Zone is an incredible CD. I was in HS when it first came out and every day when I came him from school, I played that CD FIRST. This song, Save the Best for Last. Comfort Zone. Better Off Now. What will I tell my heart. Work to Do.

Great album. I even call it a classic. And I don't say these kinds of things often.

  • i luv her songs:D

  • There is a guy in this video so handsome,I can only wonder how many people they had to interview before they selected him. Those lips, those cheekbones. Wow!!

  • Vanessa Williams is a beautiful n talented singer....

  • @m0618 she reminds me of Yalonda Adams and pebbles and also cherrelle lo

    tyra

    beyonce l

  • Vanessas Williams is a gracful, sexy elegant singer with few ever coming close to her rank.

  • She is one of the great beautys that will never fade

  • I bet she is still happy with this video...it is not dated at all...so romantic, so beautiful....Oh! to thine own self be true...Vanessa is proof of that.

  • would give anything to know what it would feel like to be loved this much, "come to me, let me dream, this night means everything to me" that plea for love sounds SO STRONG, how could it be ignored?

  • Beyonce wish that she was this classy!...lol...Love this classic song!

  • She is Flawless...this was still a time of talented artists.

  • Wow. Such confidence. I always liked the song "Save the Best for Last" but watching this video has made me a Vanessa Williams fan. Her voice is amazing, and she is soo beautiful and poised.

  • One of the most beautiful women there is in the world!!!!!!

  • Damn this is so my jam everytime I listen to this it never gets old "baby just for tonight let me give myself to yooou"

  • I think that she was better off Singing.

  • She`s freakin beautiful... Jealous ;P Great singer

  • the most beautiful woman in the world has nothing on Vanessa Williams, she is breathtaking!!!!

  • Class, style and grace stands out in today's bawdy performances!

  • This really gets me in the mood!

  • I never realized how much I liked Vanessas music until I started listening to it again. DAMN she is good. DSD, I agree, todays "artist" just cant compare to her...

  • I wish the current crop of female singing "stars" had this kind of style, talent, ability and grace. Instead, we get people like "Lady GaGa", whose best work seems to be saying "My Poker Face" over and over.

  • Lady Gaga is a different kind, she more about the avante gaurd so your assumption doesn't stand up.

  • @DSDunlap72

Vanessa and Gaga's styles (and especially this song and Poker Face) are way too different to make an accurate comparison.

  • @iFauxPas I understand what DSDunlap72 is saying though. This was part of the Top 40 nearly 20 years ago, and now we have really mind numbing songs like Poker Face that is so repetitive that hits number 1 on Billboard. In a nut shell we were spoiled back then. The quality and style that pop culture accepted back then was far more superior then what is accepted today.

  • @islandbee

I'd have to disagree. Different? Definitely. Superior? Maybe but that's a personal opinion. Songs like Poker Face are only what's popular at the moment just like how songs like this one were in it's day. Different types of music go in and out of style with the generations. I can guarantee that there will be plenty of people who will hate what becomes the next popular genre. It's less about declining quality and more about personal taste.

  • @iFauxPas I don't know if you are a musician or not, but for me coming from a musical background and discipline appreciates all the different intricacies in a musical piece. I can tell you that sounds of today (Lady Gaga) is very manufactured with beats and melody that are repetitive and predictable. Personal taste maybe, but the music industry is driven by high powered marketing plans and return on investment creating this artificial popularity. Back then music fans determined what was good.

  • @islandbee

I have somewhat of a musical background and I get where you're coming from. Music fans still determine what is good in the sense that industries produce what they know will sell and "repetitive beats," unfortunately, have a knack for sticking in people's minds. Gaga isn't really the best example for your case though since she actually has real talent and oversees all artistic direction on her own music which is much more than what could be said about a lot of today's artists.

  • @iFauxPas Lady Gaga does have musical talent and has more potential to produce material that rivals any work from the 90s. I saw her do a brief intro on Ellen and she demonstrated that by adding a jazzier side to Poker Face. However, Lady Gaga is still a puppet in the music industry in that she is motivated by reaching for the fans' pocket books, instead of their hearts. Music execs have in mind on the type of music to be distributed. Does Gaga really have control or direction? Not really.

  • @islandbee

Under the assumption of what you claim to be true, who's to say that the music industry was any different back then? What is so different about the way the industry is run now that supposedly makes it "worse" than it was before? Music like this still exists. It didn't go away, it just isn't what is popular at this moment in time. That is why I believe that current popular music is just one of the many phases that music has gone and will continue to go through.

  • @iFauxPas You make a good point on this. I live in Seattle where there is a rich history of music, and was unaware of the many RnB artists that were undiscovered in the 60s/70s. They produced music IMHO that rivaled Motown. What makes it so different for today is that we have so many media options/devices that distributes music to the masses via the internet and mobile. The reach to consumers is much more accessible than ever before. Music seems like it is spoon fed to us now.

  • @islandbee

Good point. Music is literally everywhere now.

  • @iFauxPas I hope for consumers sake you're right.

  • Love this! :)
