Cause/effect. Not symptom/bandaid. All issues must be evaluated according to the CAUSES and not the SYMPTOMS. Only then will tthe answers become clear. Obama has my vote, because nobody else is going to properly address the issue, not remotely.
You haven't oversimplified at all! I've been saying the same thing for years. The whole mess is not only a result of outsourcing, but of the misuse of NAFTA and besides that it was planned this way by corrupt government and the business sector. Why I still haven't entirely figured out, but I have several clues and theories. The immigrants are not the problem, greed is. And the US is full of bigots pretending like they want to fix it.
