Not that they are STILL around, but the basic premise is propagated generationally. Initially they may have stumbled upon a bare bones religion found that it suited their desire for power, and expanded upon it in order to thoroughly manipulate people to submit to their control which was justified biblically as being divine,if we are taught to believe in the "righteousness" of someone else (God/priests/politicians etc..) being in control we will relinquish our inherent power willingly.

I've been thinking September/October 2008 for quite awhile now. This is truly the CALM BEFORE THE STORM. The reason being is because of the Olympics. China has shut down all their businesses and in most places in China no one can drive cars or any other vehicle that give off pollution. Once the Olympics are over, and China gets back to business as usual, that's when this whole collapse will most likely happen.
