I think it was either in this video or the last one that you said you didn't know what the red piranha plants do? If you stand beside of a green piranha plant's pipe, he stays in. If you stand beside, not on top, of a red piranha plant's pipe, they still come out.
Ohhhhhhhh yeeeeeeeeeah, NOW I know what you meant about wC-4. There's that damn block in one of the firebar potholes so you can't crouch in the corner.
Well, not to brag, but a few times I have indeed managed to pass that area, while small, without taking a hit. ^_^ I needed to because I didn't know that secret powerup existed. Really it just takes a whoooole lotta practice and even more patience/tolerance for pain.
I still have no idea how one would make it with a Mushroom powerup though...
I think that some Japanese guy with major skills (no offense meant to any Japanese reading this) managed to do a crouch-slide into the pothole and crouch-jump out of the pit without taking a hit. I try that (and fail) when I get to C-4 myself.

That's pretty much how it's done. ^_^ It's hard as hell but at least they give you some room to start dashing.
