@zezeratul Bwahaha xDD I assure you, it's not :D But I agree... this was the first thing I ever created on the Electribe so all the sounds are rather unedited. Merry Christmas!
I stumbled ofer this electribe thing on youtube, by watching how people use it it makes me highly interested. How does it work? Can you learn it by trial and error? Do you need musical skills or just a feel for the beat?
So, MX1 has an oscilator AND bank of PCM waveforms? All those saxes, piano and stuff you used are the PCMs, right? And one more thing - MX can play only 5 synth voices at a time? Isn't that a problem? I do some DNB and dubstep and I'm affraid that 5 voices isn't that much, really. But anyways I want this thing MADLY, so I thought I'll ask :P
The MX1 has TWO osc's and a bank of PCM's; the Piano, sax and all the brass instruments I used are on this bank, yes. In this piece, I rarely used different waves.
About the low number of synth parts: I thought the same before buying the MX, but the solution is rather simple: switch patterns. Most likely I have one pattern for verse, one for refrain etc. You're right, it isn't much, but it's enough, really. I'll post some new stuff soon to prove it ;D
Not only shows what an electribe is capable of producing, but would also make Danny Elfman proud.Korg sould hire you for promotion of this dynamic little workstation!!!
sound like a midi file played by windows xD
