  • you are so beautiful, this color looks amazing on you!!

  • I tried this color yesterday, but it turned out dark and not so red =/ My hair is naturally dark brown, but I previously had some purple/red in it. The color I got is sooo off from what the box looked like :( I'm so disappointed...I wanna add some manic panic in it now to make it more intense now.

  • @xXSelenaFanx I wouldn't use feria if you want an Ariana grande look. I'd use manic panic or maybe a lighter shade of feria

  • PLEASE reply to this. I have long, dark brown hair. I used one box to do my hair & it's not as red as yours. should i use 2 boxes? i have VERY long hair by the way. I need to cut off 3 inches. Your hair is a really pretty red by the way. I'm trying to get as close as I can get to Ariana Grande's hair color. Please replyy :)

  • @xXSelenaFanx Yes, if your hair is very long, you should be using 2 boxes at least. And since it's dark brown, you may either need to do multiple processes (applications) or use a higher lift (lighter) color if my color is the one you're trying to reach, depending on your hair's texture. My natural color is fairly dark, but my hair is also quite fine, so it dyes easily. Good luck!

  • How long did you leave the color in after adding the color to the rest of your hair? And how long do your usually wait before re-dying?

  • I was wondering, what shampoo do you use for your hair? :) I use the l'oreal shampoo for colour treated hair, and sometimes I use the riveting reds shampoo that I bought from sally's since apparently it "helps" with keeping the hair colour from fading.

  • @Myobokuuzan It varies.. I try a lot of different professional hair products because I can buy them wholesale. Right now I'm using the It's a 10 shampoo and hair mask. The shampoo is quite mild, and I like it. I'm also a big fan of color depositing shampoo/conditioner. My favorite ones got discontinued (Artec), and I never found a good replacement.

  • Thank you so much for this video. I have been using feria's ruby rush for a few months now and it fades soooo quickly. I have very long hair and I have never been able to color it myself. Being that i'm grown, have recently moved 26 hours away from all friends who could color my hair for me and have to color it every month, it's about time to learn to do it on my own. I will attempt it tonight. Thanks alot :)

  • @bprat84 Very welcome. :) Do you use 2 boxes when you dye? If your hair is too long to really saturate with the color, it might help with the fading issue to use 2 instead of trying to cover everything with one. Reds always fade the fastest, but Feria is usually a bit better than most in my experience if you use a mild shampoo.

  • Haha you sound like me. I dye my hair so much it's hard to remember. My hair is very dark but I have a shade of red on it now. I think I am going to try this color. Thanks!

  • What is your natural hair color?

  • @jodiemcly1 I'm not entirely sure because it's been so long, but around a dark reddish brown.

  • You are SO pretty! <3

  • @NerdyNailsbyNicole That's very sweet. Thank you. :)

  • How long does the colour last until it fades?

  • @iRHAPEzombiies Like all reds, it starts fading pretty much right away, but you won't notice until probably between 2-3 weeks. By the 4-5th weeks, it usually has changed to a different, more brassy color. This is pretty much true of all red permanent dyes, unless you apply semipermanent colors to them between applications, or use strong color-depositing shampoo/conditioner.

  • Hey! so like i tried to to dye my hair kinda of a magenta, Red color and only half of my hair came out red and the rest was blacck would this work for me how come if i have black hair any suggections WOULD REALLY HELP :)

  • @Skinstea You probably used a low-lift color, which is only capable of lightening 1-2 shades (or probably half a shade in the case of black). If you want to take your hair from black to a bright, mid-tone red, you will have to do at least one high-lift process. I'd recommend going to a salon for at least the first one so you don't fry your hair.

  • hey, i have a darkish red colour i just dyed tonight, but due to my hair growing in darker nowerdays for some reason, the red just isn't very bright, i don't want to bleach it, if i can help it, but i heard this lightens as it works, will it get this same colour on dark red hair?

  • @Hayleyquinnx This is what is called a "low lift" color, meaning it won't lift your hair more than 2 shades. You should try a higher lift red (a lighter red). You may need to do a few processes (applications) to get the color light enough, but it's much better to do 3-4 processes over the span of 2 months than one bleach process. If you can, it might be a good idea to go to a salon for the first process to lighten your whole head, then use a higher lift color at home for your roots. Good luck!

  • I've been dying my hair a lot more lately since the henna on my hair isn't the ones with metallic salts :D I was just wondering, how do you deal with dye stains on your pillows, clothes etc? I use professional dyes from a supplier, and I basically just mix it with a 30 volume developer (black asian hair) an it takes to my hair fairly well, and a lot better to the rest of my hair. I use the medium intense red-blonde by Ion :)

I just hate the stains. Even though they come out I still hate them..

  • i heard this color fades into orange/copper. did that happen with you? i bought the same exact dye but i'm afraid to use it lol

  • @babiixjulieee It definitely does fade to a more coppery red, but most permanent reds do if they're in the mid-light red value range. If you're concerned about that, you should get a good red color depositing shampoo and/or conditioner (I personally like the Artec ones, if they're still around). I didn't mind the color that it faded to, but if I was trying to keep my color bright red, that's what I would do. :)

  • if i have dyed hair what's dark auburn with the roots growing out, what sort of bleach do you recommend i use if i want your red? and how long would i leave it in for?

  • @undiewaer Yikes, no bleach. What is your natural color?

  • Thx for the tips I was worried that when I dyed my hair the color would come automatically in but now I know I mist wait thx :D btw awesome color

  • lovely haircolor...thanks for this video... normally a friend of mine dyes my hair...but now...thanks to you...I'm capable of doing it myself :)

  • the hair color look great on you

  • hi! I was wondering what shampoo and conditioner you use to keep the red vibrant? I just recently dyed my hair red so I'm a bit lost on which hair products to use to maximize color :) thankyou

  • You look beautiful! What a gorgeous color! I'm trying this color tonight!

  • Lovely color!!!! <3

  • can I dry my hair with a hairdrayer right after I did the whole coloring thing?

  • @Lowdown854 So long as you condition your hair after rinsing and aren't super aggressive with your brush, you shouldn't have any problems blow drying after dyeing.

  • Nice tutor. Hope i have courage to diy. Thanks fo sharing.

  • I tried dying my hair this color for a second time.

The 1st time came out perfect...

But today?? My hair still looks exactly the same. My roots just show a lot less. But still, dark roots. -___- AND NO RED HAIR.

Kinda feel like crying right about now. sheesh.

  • the smell is very strong

  • This is a great tutorial! I'm going to have my husband watch this before he colors my hair this weekend. Thank you!

  • Did you have to bleach your hair before your first time dye-ing it with this color? I really want to dye my hair auburn but I have dark brown-black natural hair color so I don't know if it will turn out fine.

  • you remind me of Rose from Titanic :) Lol

  • the video is squished lol

  • Wat dye yu use again?

  • this makes me excited to use this dye :D i'm using this on the shorter layers i have at the top, and then a "midnight ruby" (darker auburn) on the longer layers

  • I keep watching this video all the time haha you're such an inspiration! :D

  • @Myobokuuzan Aw, thank you (:

  • wow at the end i was like OMG shes soooo pretty:)

  • @jessiebug1297 Thank you very much!

  • was ur hair always red???? I really do like this red that ur usuing... very pretty

  • @loveykaya The last 4" or so of my hair was actually been double-process blonde in the past.. almost totally grown out.

  • and you've been dying your hair for the past 17 years?? WAHHT??!! You look sooo younggg!!!

  • @Myobokuuzan Thanks... Yeah, I started when I was 13, and i'm 30 now. :)

  • @GorgeoisPig you're 30? O_O you look so young! :) how do you keep your skin so clear and healthy? :)

  • you have such beautiful skin!! Have you ever dyed your hair with henna? I put "golden brown" henna hair dye on my already golden brown dyed hair and it's red nowww but the roots didn't really dye Y_Y do you know anything about the problem??

  • @Myobokuuzan Henna has no lift (doesn't dilate/lift pigment from the hair cuticle), so all it can do is temporarily deposit small amounts of pigment.

  • @GorgeoisPig Ah I see. All the hair dressers say that I have to wait until it grows out :( so that's going to be about 5-8 months Y_Y they said that they can dye the roots only, but it's going to be extremely difficult :( I wish I never did it :( have you ever used henna on your hair and then drug store or salon dyes? :)

  • @Myobokuuzan You just need to wait until most of the pigment has washed out, else it could do something funky once you introduce a lifting color... I've never used henna at all, so I can't say first hand what happens when you dye over it. 8 months is a little extreme though... I think 3-4 months should be enough, esp if you're washing with a clarifying shampoo, or something that isn't for color-treated hair, and has a stronger detergent (soap) concentration. Maybe longer if your hair is light.

  • @GorgeoisPig Oh I see :) my hair is naturally black x] so I guess I'll start dying it in September or October then :) thanks!! :D

  • @Myobokuuzan and I didn't know Clarifying shampoo has stronger detergents x] no wonder a lot of websites say not to use clarifying shampoo every week if you have coloured hair :)

  • @Myobokuuzan I started a regular skin care regimen when I was like 10 (might be exaggerating... started very early, though). Consistency pays off. And I stay out of the sun and don't smoke.

  • @GorgeoisPig Oh I see :) I always go out into the sun, but I put on SPF 60 x] but I still tan :( I like having vitamin D loll just not the tanning affects, but I doubt I get any vitamin D from putting sunscreen on. I don't smoke either :) they ruin your lungs over time.

  • Gorgeous!!!! :)

  • what a daring color !!! 5/5

  • Thank you very much. So useful :)

  • Does it matter if there's products like hairspray or serums in your hair when you dye it?

Also if the dye has hydrogen peroxide, would it lift the natural colour while it's dyeing?

  • @haiLeiLei Anything with peroxide is considered as having 'lift". The amount depends on the type of color (low lift vs. high lift). So depending on the color, it should lighten your natural color.

Don't recommend dying your hair while there's anything in it containing large quantities of alcohol (hairspray, gels, etc) since they dry out the cuticle and make the hair far more susceptible to damage. Serums or pomades tend to be more oily, and should be ok. Too much may interfere with the dye.

  • I LOVE that color on you, and you look great with and without makeup...

Ahh! That's the color I want.

  • I just wanted to say that I think you look beautiful without makeup. I like you better without!

  • is your natural color dark brown?

  • @H2TLILDANCER Yep, like a dark reddish brown (I think)

  • is it true that colouring/dyeng the hair increases ur chance of getting grey hair???!! sum1 pleaaaassssseeeee answerr...x

    Zhara

  • @thegreeneyes01 No. :)

  • @GorgeoisPig ohhh yes it does make your hair go gray .. I have first experience.. I colored and colored and changed colors, my roots started growing back with gray... Now I have to keep coloting the roots becasue of the stupid gray... never used to color my hair, but did and got hooked on coloring.. now I'm paying the price.

  • @loveykaya That's anecdotal... ie, there's no way of knowing what your hair would look like had you never dyed it (vs testing your theory scientifically, one half of your head being control, the other half dyed). I've never heard or read anything or had a conversation with anyone in my industry that would lead me to believe that there's a direct correlation. And after 17 years of dying, I personally have zero grey hair.

  • Im dying my hair this color from medium brown. (My natural color) I hope it turns out all right!

  • Did you know that, when mixing your haircolor ie the developer and dye you can actually replace the flat cap that came on the developer bottle instead of putting the bottle tip on, which then makes you have to glove up and put your finger over the hole and be very careful. I saw this in the video on the Feria site and they just replaced the cap. I thonk they just say be careful not to leave the flat cap on once the dye is mixed. I just did this for the first time lastnight andit was much easier

  • @MysteriVamp Ive been dying my hair for years and never knew that it was safe to replace the flat cap to mix the dye until i saw that video, and then got to thinkin hmm and sure enough i was able to mix my dye so much quicker and easier and less messy and was sooo thrilled, and then i just took the flat cap off and replaced it with the nozzled and botta bing! And i just dyed with Ferias Ruby Rush lastnight! Love It!!

  • i already hav reddish light brown dyed hair do u think i will get the same color?

  • @kristi2014 should end up being about the same, or maybe a little bit lighter than mine.

  • im going to be doing my hair this color in a few days! :)

  • i LOVE ur hair :D i was wondering would this hair dye work on very dark brown- black hair?

  • @lilflipriveraa Thank you. :) Unfortunately this color on its own will not give you the same color that it gives me. It is a low-lift color, meaning that it won't lighten your hair. You will have the same level (lightness) that you already have, but with a red tone. If you want my color exactly, you would need to use a higher lift (lighter) color first to strip some of the color from your natural hair.

  • @GorgeoisPig

    ohh, alright thankk you :D

  • @rayray10121995 Thank you! I actually did a tutorial for it... It's the "Neutral makeup with a smidge of glamorous glitter" one. :)

  • beautiful!!!! and your video is very helpful

  • hi, i am looking for a job, and i am a male teenager and my parents dont want me to dye my hair that is too crazy(i have had bright red and blue hair before). Would you say this color is to standing out for a male teenager like me? I really like it:)

  • @MEWisBlue That's why I love this color... It's vivid red without being too far outside the realm of possible natural colors. Give it a shot! :)

  • I hate how quickly red fades though :P

I use 'auburn brown' which isn't brown at allll hahahaha. been thinking about going brighter red though.

  • @peacebone2010 yeah I'm with you... I'm going to do a video on color boosters at some point, which will have some tips for making your red more vibrant.

  • i have reddish brown hair right now.

and im going to be usign this exact brand to go to a deep brown.

do i have to do the roots like this? or could i jsut apply it liek a shampoo?

  • @Haleykiss If you are changing the color of your hair, you'll need to completely saturate all of your hair with the new color, but it's always best to start at the roots. Virgin hair (un-dyed hair) takes longer to process than pre-processed hair, and you don't want to leave the color on your ends longer than is necessary. When I saturate my hair, I apply the color in sections rather than applying it all over all at once. It's neater and tends to apply more evenly. Good luck!

  • i am using plum power have you got any tips u might want to tell me befor i do it ..x

  • @misspancakeperry Great color. I think it's probably just the same stuff I mentioned in the video... good luck!

  • @GorgeoisPig thanks ,...x i will let you know what it looks like and i might put a video on of how it turned out ..x :D and thanks

  • i just dyed my hair this color yesterday..I LOVE IT<3:D

  • @SweetestBitchhh Awesome! Red power!

  • I use feria Plum power with colour boost, good tip with the towel however last time i did it it dripped and hit the edge of the towel and the carpet, FAIL! hahaha

  • @jetburn83 aw lame... That happened to me so many times that I just decided to have black rugs in the bathroom from now on. :P

  • @GorgeoisPig Black rugs, hmmm i am going to have to remember that :D, Can i ask what shampoo you use to keep your colour longer cos i am having such a hard time finding a good one.

  • @jetburn83 I've recently started using the Moroccan Oil products, and I'm happy with those so far. Red fades faster than most colors though, so if you can find a color-depositing shampoo/conditioner, it will boost the color between treatments. The best ones I've used were by Artec.

  • i love feria but i hate the smell, the chemicals started to make me feel sick

  • @guitarchick1313 that sucks! :(

  • OK, i know u probaly mentioned this, but wat if u hav natural medium brown hair and u want to go blonde, wat do u do? do u hav to bleach ur hair? I'm really keen on tryin this at home hair dying kit, but its my first time dying my hair completly blonde and my first time using the in home hair dying kit. ANY ADVICE?!?! PLZ

  • @StarBeauty123 You're better off going to a pro the 1st time. It's worth paying extra $ to start, then learning how to touch up your roots on your own bc you can easily ruin your hair going blonde! BUT the safest way to do it on your own is to do a medium lift process twice, with time in btwn to recover. Pick a medium blonde first, which will take you to a dark blonde to start. Wait 3-4 wks, doing deep conditioning treatments a couple times/wk before doing your 2nd process with a lighter blonde.

  • That red is sophisticated, yet rock and roll at the same time! You look beautiful with that hair color!

  • @icegirl71388 Aw, thank you! That's exactly what I was going for. :)

  • I LOVE Feria!! Its the best!! Great video!!

  • @shad0kist Thank you!

  • @LuxuriousLela I think it's a dark reddish brown judging by the roots and what I remember, but it's been a very long time!

  • very very beautiful look !

    Lovely girl, pretty haircolor....

    Thanks for this video !

  • @MrPletour Thank you!
