@RealKingofNYC the island of hispaniola wasnt owned at different times by the spanish or french. the french never ruled our side of the island because if that would have been the case dominicans would have not existed. nor did the spanish rule the side of the island where haitians now exsist. the spanish landed on the eastern side of hispaniola first with their own africans who they intermixed with and ow today are called dominicans. the french came afterwards with their own slaves
