LOL, @juggernautxtr. *That awkward moment, when you try to troll, and look smart, but come across the untrollable, and get bitch slapped with knowledge*. Must really suck haha. Anyways, I did this on my bro's old blu he gave me, hits like a champ now. Genius video thanks a lot, I will post a video reply with mine... Once I feel like going and buying a webcam lol. Thanks again.
you should hurry and put a disclaimer in your vid cause some guys lawyer in florida found you said a blu cig could handle 2 amps of a low resistance atomizer and when the wire melted into the side of the battery exploded in his mouth.
@juggernautxtr Maybe you should find a lawyer for when people try to run an atomizer off of their USB port as per your instructions and fry their computer they come and sue you for damages. You live in the states, obviously, that shit don't fly here and everything I've stated is factual, not bullshit like you have been spewing.
@juggernautxtr So, you're not using it on a USB port on your computer; well if you would have stated that at the beginning instead of spewing a bunch of BS and then taking three days to come up with yet another story to cover up your BS it would have been a little more believable.
Hi, loved the video, i'd just like to know how I'd be able to use KR808 cartomisers for this homemade passthrough? You used an adaptor and i confused myself when I tried to work out how :(
@BulletFever1 You would use any battery to 808 carto adaptor such as 510 to 808 adaptor. it may help to soak the adaptor in some hot water to soften up the rubber insulator before trying to separate the two pieces for soldering. You can also pick up 510 connectors with the wires already attached to make it easier then use a 510 to 808 adaptor for your cartos.
@juggernautxtr I have no interest in playing games with people that consistently change their stories. Now it's .92 to 1.1 amps, before it was 0.25. What is it going to be next. You should get your facts straight before you start arguing with somebody about something you know nothing about.
@juggernautxtr Ok, I'm not going to argue with you because my mother told me not to argue with idiots. I'm going to approve your comments so you can spread your... whatever it is and let others see it.
FACT: YOU ARE NOT AN ELECTRICIAN. If you really believe you are I hope you haven't wired anyone's house.
I just built one like yours, it works great! I found that I could use a 1/2 pvc "t" and a door bell button. the button fits right inside the pvc "t". you can also do this to run off of the usb port of the computer. I would also suggest to anyone , that they watch the video from kenny's man cave on how to clean cardo's and build a tank for there home vaping.
@69furball69 if you drew 2 amps of power of a mini cig(180mAh) it wouldn't last 2 minutes.
and if you seriously think that a 22-24 gauge wire can handle 2 amps of draw, i will laugh when it melts in your hand. and don't try it's a differant voltage crap, i was an electrician for 12 yrs. AMPS ARE AMPS period. 22 gauge wire barely can hold an amp.
24 gauge barely handle .5 amps and seriously pushing the limits of melting it.
@69furball69 and the battery doesn't have the capacity of 2 amps to top it off.
so a 22 gauge wire can handle 2 amps? not! these things wouyld be blowing up left and right. first you need the load, battery capacity(you can't pull more than the battery produces) 180 mAh is only .018 amps .....and thats the calculeted life of the battery. MILI AMPS ain't that much partner.
@69furball69 ohms law is an estimation tool, at full load the draw of these might be max a .25 of an amp. hook up an ammeter and you will see the results are diffrant than the math shows, i have already looked at the real draw and it's not even close to 2 amps. bthese coils are 28 gauge wire will can barely hold .10 of an amp thats why they get hot. and at 5 volts you resistance goes down,, maybe you should go back to school.
@juggernautxtr Or you should. I guess they didn't teach you about power dissipation in elektrician skool. An E-cig is essentially a flashlight. You know the things with a battery, a switch and a bulb with a coiled up filament. I don't suppose a flashlight bulb coil can handle 8 watts any more than an e-cig coil. 0.1 Amps at 3.8V would equal 0.38 Watts, not nearly enough to heat up anything. Um yeah, do some research.
@juggernautxtr The temperature to ignite dry pine is 800F, to reach that temperature, 26 gauge nichrome wire requires 2.6 Amps of current. This and all the other facts I've presented are freely available all over the net. Stop being a troll.
Interesting vid. Now, for more common devices there's the new Bat Sub adapter which helps people substitute batteries quickly and easily, without the soldering iron. Check it out: batsub.com.
lol, I did something similar when a mod broke... except I used scotch tape because I didn't have anything else. The tape kept coming loose which was a major pain to get my fix. Anyway I liked how light it was and I was thinking about a different design... might try it soon.
the name for that type of switch is a momentary switch. it only goes on when the switch is depressed and goes off when released. I'm not trying to look like I know it all, just thought people could ask for the right thing when they go to the hardware store. you can find these at menards, radio shack, home depot, even your local auto parts store should have them.
@andruless Actually, I later attached the 510 connector to the little handle so now it only takes 1 hand. This was mainly something I could use instead of my 808 while I researched hardware so I didn't spend money on junk. I now have 3 18650 mods including a lavatube so this doesn't get much use anymore.
@andruless Yeah, mine is a Knight Rider as well, I like it. Nothing to complain about after 3 weeks or so of use. I made my first 18650 mod so I wouldn't have to carry around this plug-in mod, then I got an Indulgenge 3.7V kit as an unexpected free bonus for an order I made (Riva 510 kit and some cartos) and that came in the mail while I was waiting for the lavatube so I'm all set for hardware for at least a year.
@69furball69 Yeah, in the last month I started doing my own reviews as well and have spent way too much on parts and accessories, I have enough juice to last me about a year now too :)

what you don't like being clowned? don't know how to use an ohmeter?
4.2 ohms at 3.6 volts is .92 amps moron
juggernautxtr 2 weeks ago
@juggernautxtr Like I said, keep digging. A 4.2 Ohm carto won't even work on a 3.6V ecig.
69furball69 2 weeks ago
@69furball69 wanna make a bet? i will bet you buying me an eclipse that they will only pull between .92 amps and 1.1...............
the coil rating is 3.0- 3.3 by 3.6-3.9v
ask your self why there is a currant limiting switch of 3 secs on a mini cig.

all you really need is a disposable, a switch, and a old usb cable, remove the battery and micro vacuum swith and wallah usb e-cig!!!
juggernautxtr 3 weeks ago
@juggernautxtr That may work but a USB port is only rated for about 0.5 Amps, an ecig needs around 2 Amps so you could end up burning out your port.
