Hey M13, i'm a biker in Australia and I enjoy watching your posts. you make some good points and your a funny dude. How do you choose your topics? Can I make a request?
Typically, the digital copies are illegal copies that have been reproduced by third party. My Vstar 1100 is a hard copy and so is my Road King. If it has been digitized it is usually an illegal copy.
hahah dude i know what you mean about people on scooters passing you on a big bike, i live in the philipines where they're's a lot of scooters. and they pass me going like 90kph and ill be doing 40 haha.
I sometimes see cars stop in the bike section in your vids (1:30). Is that illegal there? It would seem that the designated scooter/bike area would be off limits to the cars and larger vehicles. Big bikes are nice, but like you I enjoy the mid size bikes and like mgalison I am a self repair type guy. To your point you do need some special tools, but hell buy em once and then you have it for the rest of your life (or the life of the tool).
I concur with Rustanator2, the red chain idea's awesome.
Might do the same thing on mine (not red, but you know what I mean) when I upgrade to a 600 in a year or two, or whenever I feel ready lol
I haven't watched all your videos, so I don't know if you've talked about this, but have you hit the track ever? I want to go take some turns recklessly and get my confidence up to knee drag. If you have, any comments for a first timer to the racetrack? If you haven't, never mind.
stupid cameras never show very good light color, what you should do is get some red dye to mix in with your oil when you buy your red chain so that the oil doesn't disrupt the chain color, or you can add some blacklight leds and buy some of the Oil-Glo spectroline(dot)com/industrial/industrial_dyes.html would look pretty nice
@PaulMEdwards Dude it was a joke, it's what M13s vids are about. I'm going for black and red on my own bike too, I think you can go overboard with accents though and IMO that metallic pinky/red is ug le.
If you get a chance. Check out this youtuber darkflightvlogs and DarkFlight600 channel. You can checkout his setup and get an idea where you want to go with it...
Looked like your neutral light was on at most of those traffic lights. Do you typically leave it in neutral while waiting on a light? I've always been told to leave it in gear so you can move quickly if you need to or to potentially avoid being rear-ended. Just curious.
Hopefully if you get a rear fender delete you don't move the license plate all the way up behind the rear tire right above the swingarm. A bunch of cocksuckers with mohawks on their helmets do that where I live and they just cause trouble.
@13mordeth hey have you ever had your bike flat out? i think you should post a vid of you trying to because we only ever see you doing city speeds and ocasionally a quick ride up the mountains so u should i dont no if you have motorways there like they do oer hear lol please dont take this the wrong way im not trolling im just suggesting great vids tho man
dont they ticket your drivers license NOT your bike?Yes you can go through speed traps but being pulled over should give you stiff fines and even suspensions......?
That look amazing but I have a question, I don't know anything about motorbikes or anything so this might be a dumb question.
But to M13 or anyone who can answer who has a motorbike, when you guys go over big bumps in intersections, speed bumps etc.. how do you guys go over it? do you just ride over it normal and it doesn't really effect you like when your in a car or do you bounce up and down and stuff?
@13mordeth depends on the bump sometimes. If you have time to prepare for it, it doesn't effect you more than in a car, but if it's a random small, but large (understand?) bump that you hit going at a decent speed and it just sneaks up on you, it can lift you off your seat sometimes. Or knock your feet off the pegs.
@ZSkilla Depends on the bike, its suspension, rider's weight, speed going over bump, but MOST IMPORTANTLY whether you raise off the seat while going over the bump.
It's best to raise up off the seat and proceed perpendicularly over a speed bump or obstacle. Once my wife failed to do so when attempting to cross some old railroad tracks & crashed. That sucked.
I suggest you google for "Motorcycle Safety Foundation" for more info. I realize you're in Canada, but the information is still relevant.
@ZSkilla in the UK you can go around speed humps (some of them dont go all the way across the road , they only go accross the middle of the lane) so you can just turn in to the left or right side of your lane and go around it legally. If you cant do that you go into the middle and put your wieght on the pegs and you can bump over them like a car. Go fast and you can do a wee jump :)
@ZSkilla In America they actually teach you to elevate off of the seat as your legs will act as another set of shock absorbers. That said, I don't know of anyone who does this outside of the class as it's more likely to tag your boys. That sucks.....a lot.
you refer to a "Big Bike" I guess I always thought a big bike was anything over a 750
Nice bike you have. your right about the led under the headlight. it should be easy to move somewhere else that's worth seeing. I've seen colored tires which if you had orange that would look kinda cool. they used to make what they called "Crazy Wheels" for sting ray bikes. they had 6 colors. red, white & blue, green and yellow and Orange. I had 2 sets I used to trade out every so often. they look cool.
sick bike, too much led might look gay but love the glow they give off on front end. i was high so i thought it was a joke at first and u just put sum1s busa or somthin
Can big bikes not pull up into those square boxes ahead of the crossings too? I like the lights inside the front fairing but yeah your right light is kinda exposed. I'd get one right under the belly pan to give a glow on the road.
Mordeth, I love you and your videos, but most of the time I hop on Youtube I don't have the 15 minutes it takes to watch your longer videos. Usually I'll let them stay on my subscription list until I do have the time, but I haven't seen one of your shorter 3-5 minute vids in such a long time that my list is flooded with these longer ones! I love them all equally, but I just haven't had time to watch your newest stuff. It'd be nice if you released more shorter vids so I can still get my fix.
@trijigon Not really. I'd end up missing the whole point, or forgetting what I watched the next time I came online. Or the most likely thing: I'll get hooked and won't want to stop watching, and end up wasting the 10-15 minutes I didn't have to begin with lol.
@MCTurkster And you obviously have never been enrolled in college classes. If I do get free time, it usually isn't used on youtube, and if it is, it isn't going to get blown all on one video.
@KingPanther13 I'm in college at the moment so now I know your talking crap lets face it you go in for a few hours a day do a bit of work and then go home and do whatever you want hardly the most taxing life styles.
@MCTurkster Hah, you must be a liberal arts major. You must also not work. I'm a nursing major, I take classes and work full time. Let's see, my schedule is go in for a few hours...come home, change into my work clothes, head straight to work....come back home, study my ass off, then try to utilize what little free time I have...rinse...repeat. Anyhow, don't take my comments as insults. I'm treating this like a fun conversation :).
@KingPanther13 lets be honest you dont need to be studying for more then like an hour a day. And you do what say 3 hours at college? and then what 8ish hour shifts at wherever you work thats loads of spare time in a day.
@MCTurkster Have you never taken Anatomy+Physiology, or Microbiology, or any health related classes? They require a little more than an hour a day. You also need to figure in commute times. This is my true schedule. 9-5 is work, but I drive around my state to various job locales, so I wake up at 7. Class is 6:30-9:30 PM, just for the summer. It's 45 mins to get to class from my home. By time I get home, I have to go to sleep if I want to get up the next morning. THEN I find time to study.
After seeing the bad drivers throughout your videos, I will never complain about people here driving like idiots.. Well ok, I will. But not as much... Maybe..
@13mordeth Haha, reminds me of a show. OFP...Ordinary Fucking People. No BLINKY BLINKIES, No Blinking Chiristmas Lights. No Blinky Blinkies! Party Down is the name of the show if interested.
The shop that works on our family's vehicles isn't the best either. Too expensive for a less than spectacular job. I don't know why we keep going back to them besides the owner is a family friend...
@SirBoostAl0t Are you retarded? He clearly said that in TAIWAN and INDONESIA specifically, 400+ cc bikes are referred to as "big". This is because (as m13 said) scooters are freaking everywhere in these countries.
He did not say this was the case for America or Canada. He grew up in Canada, so I'm pretty sure he understands.
when you get rid of the fender and everything on the back of your bike you can use red LED's to light up your lisence plate under the tail of your bike.
@TheRJMortimer I'll tell you how to properly lane split.
It's really quite simple & I've done so myself using these 3 easy steps:
1: Aim your motorcycle between two vehicles, one on each side of you in their own lane and you & your bike in the space between them.
2: Ride between the vehicles at a pace which is reasonably prudent for the conditions present; generally not faster than you could react if an obstacle enters your path (such as jealous/oblivious cagers blocking you).
You'll get a very bad reputation here in Germany, if you put LED on your bike, because it's associated with scooter tuners and that are like 16/17 year old idiots who pimp out their 50cc scooters to the max.
But I think it looks nice and I would probably do that too in Taiwan!
There is a term for riding faster than your lights allow you to see which is "overriding the headlights."
It is very dangerous and can lead to accidents. This is especially true on country roads which are more curvy than city roads and are more likely to have wild or domestic animals crossing the road at night, potentially leading to an overreaction causing a crash.
HID headlights are very beneficial when riding at night.
I learnt how to ride in traffic watching m13 videos. Now, it has become a habit for me to watch someone do some stupid stuff on the street and start talking to myself inside my head about what an idiot that person was.
every video I see of yours (which I like very much) has some idiot, not just woman, driving through reds, turning on reds into oncoming traffic etc, it must be true that the asians don't value life like Americans or Canadians. Perhaps, they like to live on the edge! :)
@lue1975lue if u travel to China or Taiwan u would really see how different driving conditions are over there. Traffic rules and regulations seem mostly "suggestions"....First thought i had when i was in taiwan was that if i drove like that in USA, i'd be in jail before the day was over.
Wat kind of bike is that??
BigJ11495 5 days ago
are those LED lights illegal in the U.S.? probably cuz they are red huh
MrSnuggs 5 months ago
@MrSnuggs
its only illegal if the red is in FRONT of the vehicle.
Because oncoming vehicles could think your a vehicle that facing AWAY from them, not towards.
Buts it is legal.

The shop that works on our family's vehicles isn't the best either. Too expensive for a less than spectacular job. I don't know why we keep going back to them besides the owner is a family friend...

m13 budd, who told u a 650ninja is a "big bike" in american 600 are small 750 are meh and 1000's are large 1300 1400 are big......250's are jokes
SirBoostAl0t 7 months ago
@SirBoostAl0t Are you retarded? He clearly said that in TAIWAN and INDONESIA specifically, 400+ cc bikes are referred to as "big". This is because (as m13 said) scooters are freaking everywhere in these countries.
He did not say this was the case for America or Canada. He grew up in Canada, so I'm pretty sure he understands.
Listen to the video next time, idiot.

you should add a nice reflecting paint strip on your tires, that's make your bike a tron bike :D
DJDhananjayK 7 months ago
when you get rid of the fender and everything on the back of your bike you can use red LED's to light up your lisence plate under the tail of your bike.

properly Lane split
TheRJMortimer 7 months ago
@TheRJMortimer I'll tell you how to properly lane split.
It's really quite simple & I've done so myself using these 3 easy steps:
1: Aim your motorcycle between two vehicles, one on each side of you in their own lane and you & your bike in the space between them.
2: Ride between the vehicles at a pace which is reasonably prudent for the conditions present; generally not faster than you could react if an obstacle enters your path (such as jealous/oblivious cagers blocking you).
3: Don't crash!!!
PaulMEdwards 7 months ago
@PaulMEdwards you missed step four.... look at drivers mirrors and spot the ones on their mobiles and take extra extra care ;)
Thunderous71 7 months ago
@Thunderous71 they're included in the "oblivious" category in step 2.

You'll get a very bad reputation here in Germany, if you put LED on your bike, because it's associated with scooter tuners and that are like 16/17 year old idiots who pimp out their 50cc scooters to the max.
But I think it looks nice and I would probably do that too in Taiwan!

Is riding at night difficult without street lights or other cars? Say in the countryside? Or does the bike's lights show enough of the road? Thanks
quantum0natator 7 months ago
@quantum0natator Depends on the pace and the road conditions.

lue1975lue 7 months ago
@lue1975lue if u travel to China or Taiwan u would really see how different driving conditions are over there. Traffic rules and regulations seem mostly "suggestions"....First thought i had when i was in taiwan was that if i drove like that in USA, i'd be in jail before the day was over.
