These guys are great. I remember them from way back. Still sound good after all these years. See you guys in June 2011, in Norfolk, Nebraska. I will be front row.
@lannkraft Just saw them play (June 2, 2011) late night at Jarry Park in Montreal, Canada. They were a surprise…..Dam GOOD! With 2 of the original members (Clifford & Cook) at the age of 66 were just like if they were 40 years ago….fantastic. Would have wished if John Fogerty would have been there but the replacements did a great job in the vocals and lead guitar. Closed our eyes and it felt that the real CCR were there especially that they played all there “Greatest Hits” all night!
are they a tribute band really? there's bands that only have 1 remaining member left who is a bassist or drummer, and they are not called a tribute. some bands replace their singers with a former tribute singer, and they don't call themselves a tribute band. the name sounds close enough. tribute band? i think not. john could have easily played in this band all these years.
@lester5192 They are not a tribute band. The original band had 4 members, Tom Fogerty (John's bro) left the band and they were a trio. He died. 2 of the remaining 3 original members are in this band. A lawsuit between the 3 resulted in allowing the drummer and bassist to use the name Creedence Clearwater Revisited.
@asr53 they call themselves one though, and they shouldn't have to i don't think. oh well.
but when i first heard of them i thought they really were a tribute band with no original members. after 40 years and all the money john made and still played the songs himself you'd think he'd get over it.
call it fake if ya want, saw em on the 4th of July, (thats independance day for all you liberals who dont know) and they were outstanding. It aint the original CCR, but damn good
they suck what ever happened to the REAL CCR
