Is this the traditional dance style of the ladies from the plains tribes? Just curious because this is a different traditional dance style than what I am used to seeing...

I'm not certain, but I think that it was open to all ladies (plains, northeast, etc.) who had on a "traditional" dress as opposed to a "fancy" dress.
