I still have nightmares about that deployment. If the rudder hadn't sunk to the bottom of the ocean on the 5th month, I was about to have a nervous breakdown from the high tempo and strain that the NATO exercises put on us.

Very nicely done. I was stationed on the U.s.S. Mahlon S.Tisdale (FFG 27) from 1985-1988. This really brings back deployment memories. Thank you.
