If you pause @ 0:54, you can CLEARLY see the tornado's outer edge near the center of the screen. The tornado is the brighter part of the screen due to it being rain-wrapped. This thing is so massive that you can't even see the other side of the tornado in this paused frame. It just go to show you how CLOSE they were to this tornado, and how terrifyingly MASSIVE and DESTRUCTIVE this thing was.
When I heard the guy screaming on the radio, "Just go! Get the hell outta here" My hair stood up on end. Knowing what happened to the town, he wasn`t wrong for freaking out like that

The lightning strike at about 55 to 60 seconds illuminates what appears to be the right edge of the tornado wrapped in rain, it's a lot closer than it appears, no doubt, that was one hek of a close call.

I was here when the tornado hit it a truck stop and the girl that I was with in that truck stop was killed right next me me as my legs were crushed. it did not look like a tornado when it came in it just looked like a really bad rain system that had the potential to do some major flooding.

Tornadoes are very fascinating. We are in "awe" over something that is sooooo deadly. "I feel sick..." that's the feeling you get when somethings so awesome can kill...when there's nothing you can do.

@Reborn1561 Not just F5 (That's actually weaker than EF5), but it's easy to at least estimate where its positioning is on this video; as the tourists are passing by the Lowes, those dark, black clouds are pretty indicative to tornadic activities, or at least powerful severe thunderstorms. It's not clear *where* it is in the swirling black mass of clouds, but I can assure you it's not a good place to be. I wasn't there in person, so I don't know if this tornado was rain-wrapped or not.

It WAS rainwrapped, however how large it was, it didnt matter. The debris, and soil gave an easily spotted sight. Ive seen a few tornadoes growing up in the midwest. Ive never seen a Tornado like this. It was hypnotizing to watch, the shear size of it made you almost lose control of bodily function. I cant describe it. Never mind the damage, which I see on a daily basis still.

@kgracielu2005 i was at 20th and connecticut somerset apartments. 2nd story apartment in the bath tub which was about the only thing left. Looking at all the my pictures makes me think how lucky i am to only get beat ALMOST to death by debri

you all sound terrified, it is amazing you were not right in it. I'm from Ohio, we had an F5 when I was 12 in the city next to mine, I have always wondered what it was like. I feel so bad for the people who lost their lives, it is terrifying it hit so hard and so fast, how would anyone know it would be that bad all at once. It just looks like an intense thunderstorm - one where a person might not realize it was on top of them right when the tornado hit - shock can cause naseau. gladu made it
