I personally think that Nero went in search of some means to protect Kyrie should the situation arise, and I think that he came across the defeated spirit of Vergil, obviously wanting revenge on Dante, so Vergil gave demonic power to Nero (hence the arm) but is actually using Nero as a host to gain power before he makes a return in order to kill Dante or something. I think that's why Nero was able to restore Yamato because Vergil is present within Nero.

Since we only encounter Yamato in mission six, Nero isn't able to use it from mission one. It's that simple. But I think that once Yamato was encountered, Vergil "awoke" within Nero, striking the DT.
Actually... Nero is supposed to be the son of the great Vergil. I have to think that certain conditions where met, like him wanting to protect Kyrie, awoke about maybe 5% of the 25% of devil blood he has in his system. Why does it show itself like it does? A continous devil trigger most likely, one that only gets stronger from absorbing other devil materials. But yeah... Vergil big daddy to Nero. Nero inhertided the sword. Dante allow Nero to keep it... until he is beaten.

Vergil doesn´t come back. In the third Game, he fight with the Demon King. And in DMC 1, he dies by Dante´s Hand. It´s impossilbe, that he can come back.
keep in mind that the time order of the games is 3,1,4,2. Nelo Angelo is the avatar of Vergil in the first game since i died, fighting Mundus in the third game. It is likely that Vergil's need for power that's in Yamato transfers to Nero in some way but i doubt that Capcom will make a big deal out of it, that would mean that the game looses Nero's naive, moody character

I've been reading thru the comments here, people have some really good ideas about Nero & his origin. What I came away with after playing the game was that Nero was born with a demon arm, but no powers until the day (never specified) that Kyrie was threatened somehow. That activated whatever dormant power was there; I believe it came from Virgil. I like to think that Virgil is trying to come back & using Nero as a vessel for his power until he can. IMO, it explains why Yamato responds to him.

Noticed Sanctus also stabs Nero's devil bringer arm? I question if the same would occur if Sanctus just stabbed Nero in the heart; would the sword still work? My guess is no. So I don't think they're related but only related because of the arm that is some how connected to Vergil.

Umm first off to Gamerpro310 Trish is a clone of Dantes mother so i dont think he fucked her and Nero isnt his son he probably has not relation to him at all. The story isnt fully explained but Virgil might have possessed Neros body and given him more power hence the Line in DMC 4 "give me more power" a line both Virgil and Nero say and it most definitely goes DMC 3, DMC 1, DMC Anime, DMC 4 and DMC 2

Noticed Sanctus also stabs Nero's devil bringer arm? I question if the same would occur if Sanctus just stabbed Nero in the heart; would the sword still work? My guess is no. So I don't think they're related but only related because of the arm that is some how connected to Vergil.

I think that vergil is the arm it's self, his power any way, but it's got a mind of its own, maybe Vergil is stuck, in between two worlds, and the result is that he has to be apart of some one eles, nither can live without the other. Nero needs the arm and Vergil needs Nero. if that sound corny sorry, but think about it. I could be wrong thou.

nero arm isn't related to vergil anyhow... yamato is related to vergil, when he gets it, he gets powers of vergil (most obviuos example - crystal swords, only vergil could use it in all of the DMC series)... nero's arm sucks all devil arms and demonic stuff, if someone is going to ask why yamato is reacting with devil bringer (which would claim that nero's arm is related to vergil), so how you would explain that nero arm reacted with aegis shield, evil legacy and all that stuff?

that's almost true, but how u explain nero's arm just appear at that age??? Remember that he tried to hide his arm at the begging of the game. Some one told me that his arm is virgil's spirit, but i'm not sure of that but complements the history.

he was born with his arm. since towards the end he says "now i know why my arm like this... to send guys like you back to hell" or something like that. that means he was born with that arm and was hiding it. seems like creators of this game hidden meaning of the most important questions in few sentences from cutscenes.

Vergil COULD have tried to come back but only manifested enough matter and energy to be the power within Nero's devil bringer arm, and its probably why he's demonly strong, so alot of people may be right.

Umm first off to Gamerpro310 Trish is a clone of Dantes mother so i dont think he fucked her and Nero isnt his son he probably has not relation to him at all. The story isnt fully explained but Virgil might have possessed Neros body and given him more power hence the Line in DMC 4 "give me more power" a line both Virgil and Nero say and it most definitely goes DMC 3, DMC 1, DMC Anime, DMC 4 and DMC 2
also people that dont like DMC 2 story sucked but the game play was the best out of them all

it goes DMC 3 DMC 1 then DMC anime then DMC 2 which in my opinion sucked compared to the others. when they made the second one they had a whole new line of production that worked on it. story line was ok. but gameplay sucked. then its DMC 4. and if the movie comes out in hardcore anime style like final fantasy. in the whole hi-res then i think it would be better then with real people ya know. DMC 5 is going to be about dante being neros father. thats why he has that arm. dante and trish got busy

and see what im thinking is that nero has to be related somehow. because in dmc4 the priest says something like he has the blood of sparta in him when he absorbs him in the statue. so i think nero is related to dante or vergil. or maybe both. he has to be because he repaired the sword. it was broken and he then fixed and vergils sort of power is in there. and neros dt does look like vergil big time. im just tryin to figure this out ya know. its buggin me. lol

He was not born with that arm he was attacked by a demon. Its in the intruction booklet.

in the booklet it only states that he got injured in his right shoulder. but its obvious he did it on purpose so that he can hide his arm. he doesnt want anybody to see it.but he says in the game that he was born with it. he was an orphan too.he even says in the end. now i know why i have this arm. its to send people like you back to hell.

if he got the arm by being attacked by a demon then he would know how and why he got it. in the game though he doesnt know why he has it or anything. which is why once again ill say it...at the end of the game he realized what the arm was for. he still doesnt know how he got it. he was attacked yes, but killed the dedmon obviously but came up with a way to hide his arm. which was with the caste.he was born with that arm and those powers. hes half and half just like dante.

i would not say half demon, probaly one of his ancestors was demon, and probaly the demonic energy was focused in his body making him born with that arm, when vergil died he probaly used his spirit to connect to his arm and thats wy yamato reacted to his hand. ppl say that his the son of vergil but thats not possible, it is said that vergil despises humans. we will just have to wait for the answers in devil may cry 5

no nero wasnt born with that arm vergil was hurt bad after his last fight with dante in dmc1 and he needed to heel somehow so he cursed nero with the arm but died anyway but his spirit was still in neros arm so his arm got deformed because of vergils power and because he has some demon in him neros hair turned white or somthing like that.

the games came out before the Anime. and the order of the DMC story is DMC 3, DMC 1,DMC the anime, DMC4 and then DMC2. i got this info right from Game Infromer so it should be correct.
