It had also 2 child? That's horrible. I'm not an Indy follower but no matter which kind of racing it is, it's still a young man dying for something he and we all love, but sometimes requires a price that's just too high.

I felt more the Simoncelli death, as a connational, a motorcicle owner, and fan of the MotoGp, but every death in the motorsports is tragic...

As we say every time, let's hope we'll never seen tragedies like this anymore.

Jenson Button is a hero! Not only is he driving better than anyone in F1 right now, but he had to drive like that to battle Wheldon in Formula Ford. Dan was a great friend of his and it seemed he is the only one in the F1 community who has any sympathy for his family. All Christian Horner has done is rant on about ovals and Rany Bernard and Lewis Hamilton has said he was sad for his family but never knew him. I'll let F1 drivers know that Dan Wheldon could lap them all 3 times if he came there.

I have to say, I've never met Dan Wheldon... but being a racing enthusiast, and hearing the news of an icon from the world of Motorsport pass away in such a tragic event... it hits me right in the heart.

Farewell Dan, may you be an inspiration and a model to all the other racing enthusiasts out there.
