Kofa Mountain area is a Big Horn Sheep reserve. There are signs all over the place restricting the use of motor vehicles AND firearms. However....... you can travel more places on foot and be unseen anyway. It is an awesome place to conduct desert survival training. There area few natural rock tanks which catch the runoff from the infrequent rains and springs which produce only 2 to 3 liters of water a day. Sadly, the last time I was able to be there has been twelve years ago.
