  • Great video.

    Slow and helpful!

  • Great video!

    Slow and clear!

  • I'm having a great time trying to learn boogie woogie with your videos so thanks very much for sharing them. If you ever decide to sell the sheet music then I'll be your first customer!!

I got a copy of your CD too and I'd recommend it to everyone who is trying to learn this stuff or just loves boogie woogie.

  • Dude you're like my hero, thank you so much for doing these videos to all pianists around the world (french here).

  • at 2:05 that lick, I had to watch it several times because it sounds different the first time, I think you actually do a 3 key slide there starting at the G and rolling to the A. Wish that was a bit clearer. Thanks, I've been practive some of these new licks.

  • yep, the first time you play the riff is different then the final version. I've been playing along and I was so confused. It sounds awesome the first way!

  • yeah I think I played it differently the first time..anyway I hope my lessons are working out..Im planning to make a book with lessons ..think it will sell :)

  • Like Hot Cakes! Wish I had something like this 10 years ago, then I'd be listening to Jerry Lee Lewis riffs over and over trying to figure them out, him and Katie Webster. Don't have much time with the piano anymore, but 3-4 times a year I'll youtube a bit and learn a new riff, the rest of the time I play what I know to blow off some steam. Anyway, I echo what many have already said, your channel is a great resource to learn, and a pure joy to listen. :)

  • Im glad my video's are actually having a effect on people..just want to share my thoughts and talent with the world..so that boogie woogie is not something old but can be played smooth and with feeling as well..

I hope your doing ok with the lessons..wish I could teach ya :) then things would go faster I think..anyway bye bye

    ~Eeco

  • Please Tell us if you do so!

And for some constructive critics: it would do with a more stable camera.

  • you are really nice for sharing your music with many people..i am very thankful ,i try to do it..only sometime left hand got weak ,maybe position is wrong?

  • left hand is important its the drive of the song for the right hand..practise your left hand first before you start the right hand..:) have fun !

    ~Eeco

  • Finger movements are done so fast that if lessons could have a "slow motion" capability that would be great.

  • These lessons are a great help.

    Thanks

  • Im glad I can help out in every way :)

  • Is it a riff from Death Ray Boogie ???

  • it sounds like a little bit like it but not really :)

  • hello Eeco,it s a pleasure to see yours lessons. Make a dvd please. I had buy a dvd from Mitch Woods but i m not very enjoy . I prefer yours lessons

  • Eeco

I really love this piece. Been practicing and I finally got it down. You're one hell of a good teacher and best of all a super Boogie Woogie player. Keep em coming.

    bob

  • thank you :), Im thinking of making a DVD for lessons Eeco

  • you teach very well

  • that's the difference between mecanical and technical hé hé

  • hooray! you need more medium lessons like this!

  • 5 stars! I may never be able to play this , but God bless you for sharing.

alake bona e ert di ya ate is a skate.

    alvast bedankt!

  • Thats medium? Whats hard then?

  • Eeco, many thanks for the entertainment from the recent festival and CD I managed to buy at the concert.Your video lessons are most helpful and my boogie woogie style is just beginning to take shape... Cheers again and please let me know when you will be over again in the UK

  • I'll let you know, no problem

  • great one eeco i hope you come to some more festivals down in england hope to see you again

    boogie woogie man adam

  • Oh I hope so ;) ..cheers Eeco

  • whoops. let me try again: why are all the best jazz musicians from northern europe, including scandinavia, holland and perhaps belgium?

  • Nice one Randomperson! I think you got away with it. I know what you mean though.

  • It's probbaly in their blood to push themselves to try hard at things, lol, great work btw Eeco! These lessons really are a useful tool for people wanting to start out learning blues/boogie!

  • hmmm why are all the best jazz musicians Scandinavian? very useful thanks!

  • Scandinavian?? Im from holland..;)

  • Hmmm..thats gonna be a hard one for me..lets practise
