@lalamango1 China helped lots of Jews in WWII. Because of that there is a Jewish community in Beijing. The Chinese feel close kinship with the Jews. They are both thrifty. I cannot speak for India. But I would not think there is much difference. China and India do not have anti-Semitism. Anti-Semitism comes from Christianity.

Yes, I am very thrifty myself...actually let's just say cheap. I am very cheap. No, there is no antisemitism amongst Indians...we Indians don't think that way about Jewishness. My comment was concerning the Indian parents. I know it's just a sitcom, but what I was trying to convey is that Indians are really into endogamy, much like Jews are. So the typical Indian parent would not be happy if they found out their child was dating/marrying a Jewish, Catholic, etc person.
