Actually you can use this to your advantage. Like for scheduled shutdown. I go to school at 7 but I like to download torrents so I can just use this command to shutdown my computer at like 8 when I'm at school. lol

all you have to do is start up your dos command prompt and type( after the c:\ of course) shutdown/? a directory will pop up and have a list of commands and what each one does. -a is abort system shutdown, -c is "shutdown comment", -f is force applications to close w/out warning, -i is display GUI interface, -s is shutdown the computer, set time out for shutdown to XX seconds.

Your video is a good way to make the virus, but this way is less complicated because this uses a shortcut. Typing it up in notepad requires you to save it as a batch file, which people may not realise how to do.

Also, Firefox and IE aren't the only two browsers in the world, this shortcut works with practically anything.

Plus, your one aborts the shutdown at the end of the actions. He's just creating the icon to make shutting down the computer easier.

BUT theres a little detail to be added. you can use the IE icon and call it internet explorer.

also if you change "shutdown -s -t 00" to "shutdown -s -t 05" it says "Shutdown initialized by [USERNAME]. PC will shut down in: 00:00:05 Please save all unsaved data, all unsaved data will be lost"

that means you can set a timer to it and this is the same as pressing the shutdown button in the start menu..
