@QCBEC He went down twice, once from a behind the head shot. Pascal went down and it was called a slip. In the second fight, Hopkins knocked him down TWICE and both were called slips.

Hopkins didn't just fight a man, he fought a man, a referee, all the judges, all the fans in the arena, all the journalists doubting him, and the laws of nature. And he still won 9 of 12 rounds in the first fight, and beat his ass all over the ring in the second.

Let's face it, people hate Tarver because he ko'd Roy. I'm a big Roy fan but c'mon people. He scored the biggest KO of the last ten years, maybe even 20 years.

Tarver is way past fighting though, he should be a promoter or full time commentator.

@ArbourParq I think Rocky 6 inspired him to keep boxing. Because of that movie , I have been paying more attention to his real life career.

@Tom6093 Possibly, but it didn't inspire him to keep training, the last time I saw him on air, he was a definite heavy weight. The best fighters never get too far out of there respective weight divisions.

I do agree with you though that Tarver is a great personalty, maybe the best in boxing.
