@missadreena No need to get defensive.. even if they couldn't doesn't mean that would invalidate their opinion on how you walk.. heck reminds me of singing competitions on TV, god knows half the public including me can't sing very well but we sure do know when someone in the audition sounds bad! Should we not give an opinion on them because of our inability to sing... (i know its a subject change but i like analogies). By the way i though you walked quite well, just gotta accept peoples opinions

The fit is also very important and it is a good idea to get a snug fitting pair and some toe protectors (fit them with the toe protectors on). A pair of ankle boots like Adreena is wearing is best as it will support the ankle an lessen the chance of going over sideways and spraining yourself :)
@Minasubmissive I tried my first pair when I went to work for a website.
As soon as i put them on I was up on my feet and able to walk around a chair. after a couple laps holding on the the chair I got more confident and could let go. Guess i've just naturally got a skill for it. I haven't got any ballet training or anything.
@missadreena Hi. Your experience is not so unusual. I think it's mind over matter in most instances - and you seem to have a great body awareness. It all helps. What would be the coolest is if we all got together and did a street march in our ballets. How cool would that be? :-)
