exactly. i dont listen to music on the ipod too much and the ipod has physical controls to adjust volume and it even has an internal speaker. the ipod has the best web browser, wayyy better than the zune. it has weather stocks callender sleep timers and clocks. it has bluetooth notes and voice memos and can even make skype calls. so what can the zune do???
the touch has email support and the best mobile browser ever made. also it just works, all the time. when i used a zune i loved it but i didnt like how many times i had to rtoubleshoot all the problems

The thing about iPod is that Apple has moved it away from the universal player that it once was. It used to be that there was one iPod that had everything. Now, if you want the Touch, you sacrifice storage, if you want the Nano, you sacrifice storage, Wi-Fi and screen size, if you want the Classic, you sacrifice screen size and Wi-Fi. All in all, no matter what iPod you get, you have to sacrifice SOMETHING. With Zune, there is absolutely no sacrifice or compromise in the features or anything.
It is if you're a huge podcaster or movie viewer. And to attain the 32GB you have to pay $400. That's $150 more than the Zune 120 which has 88 more GB than the Touch. The only 2 things that the iPod Touch has that the Zune doesn't are internet and a bigger screen by 3cm. To me, those 2 aren't enough to compel me to spend $150 more for less...
On paper the zune wins every time with its FM Tuner and Wifi sharing. But the ipod wins in many other ways. For example, the itunes store has a much better selection of tv shows than the zune marketplace, and actually has movies. It has a better podcast selection too. The itunes store also has games which can be played on the ipod/ipod nano.
There are also cheap 3rd party accessories for the ipod. There are a few for the zune, but I can't go to radio shack and find one easily.
i feel your pain bmwx3turbo, my zune holds a charge for about a day before i have to spend the next day charging. ive had it cince christmas and the headphone jack is messed up, and i already have a bad pixel. i think i might go for an ipod next time.

Do not buy the Zune, as the hardware has undergone a malfunction Wednesday morning at 12:00am PST. It is an error made by Microsoft in the hardware that was supposed to be omitted before sale to a retail store. If you want a trustworthy mp3 player, buy Apple products.

If you mean more expierence in producing players which crash frequently, are compatible with little formats (ONLY mp4 for video and mp3 and aac for audio) and have an interface which isn't customizable and are horrendously overpriced (ipod touch, iphone) and which tie you into their own interface (itunes) then yes.
Creative zen is the mp3 player for people who value what an mp3 player is all about.

dude, zune is catching up....although you dont want to admit it, sales show that they increased 100% in half a year...and amazingly they keep adding things to it to make it better than an ipod....so yes maybe it isnt caught up yet but in the future yes it will....with way more features, im guarenteed that.

Im sorry zune video quality sucks... the screen scratches. IT has low memory. You have to have a roll update to get the software. it doesnt play games. it doesn't add notes. its hard to view pictures. it looks so boring. it has low music quality. its harder to put movies on it.

As far as iPod gaming goes, it's pretty obsolete when you put em up against actual handheld gaming devices. I understand that Apple wants to have a go at this audience -what with Spore and Super Monkey Ball- but there really is no point. Once again, not exactly a fundamental part of any music player.

I'd be forced to disagree, there's nothing 'hard' about using the Zune if you have a fully-developed sense of direction. As for the bogus, unnecessary features like 'notes', well, I don't think that's enough to draw you to an MP3 player. It's about the musical experience, not the gimmicks. Talk about marketing bait.

can tell you have a zune. i have one and i regret buying one. You cant get high quality movies on it. you have to do it yourself. music experience? ipod has more music experience i think. zune is not my mp3 player and, but for others it is.
if anyone wants for me to decide. get an ipod it cost the same price. but ipod is better.

I have 3 iPods (different generations) and one Zune. Zune wins.
As for THE musical experience, I'm referring to something that is to be experienced, not the experience of the maker itself. Having said this, I would have to rate the musical experience offered by the Zune a higher rating.

The thing about iPod is that Apple has moved it away from the universal player that it once was. It used to be that there was one iPod that had everything. Now, if you want the Touch, you sacrifice storage, if you want the Nano, you sacrifice storage, Wi-Fi and screen size, if you want the Classic, you sacrifice screen size and Wi-Fi. All in all, no matter what iPod you get, you have to sacrifice SOMETHING. With Zune, there is absolutely no sacrifice or compromise in the features or anything.

It is if you're a huge podcaster or movie viewer. And to attain the 32GB you have to pay $400. That's $150 more than the Zune 120 which has 88 more GB than the Touch. The only 2 things that the iPod Touch has that the Zune doesn't are internet and a bigger screen by 3cm. To me, those 2 aren't enough to compel me to spend $150 more for less...

No. Acctualy the Zune is $0.01 cheaper.
All Apple sells now is the 120, the Zune has 160, 80, 8, 4, and 2. Zune has a way bigger screen, and it has a raido.

On paper the zune wins every time with its FM Tuner and Wifi sharing. But the ipod wins in many other ways. For example, the itunes store has a much better selection of tv shows than the zune marketplace, and actually has movies. It has a better podcast selection too. The itunes store also has games which can be played on the ipod/ipod nano.
There are also cheap 3rd party accessories for the ipod. There are a few for the zune, but I can't go to radio shack and find one easily.

i feel your pain bmwx3turbo, my zune holds a charge for about a day before i have to spend the next day charging. ive had it cince christmas and the headphone jack is messed up, and i already have a bad pixel. i think i might go for an ipod next time.
