the only thing i would have chained was the osb, rim, and plates to the bed and dumped the I joists by themselves moved over then dumped the other stuff closer to the foundation

ya cant tie down wood with chains ya tool fuks the finish thats y straps r better for finished wood, it wud b eaiser for unloading with a hiab anyway can put it closer to the house tradies will love u for less work for them

he means a dump chain to hold the load together, and thats not finish lumber so it doesnt matter if the chain digs into it

And how would you deliver wood? I don't see anything wrong with how he delivered the wood. For not having a fork truck on site, he did a pretty good job. GFY clown.
