  • This is one of your best demos ever.

  • 3:40 That's why I am getting a DMM. Even in this compressed YouTube vid I can tell it's good. Going to be awesome for swell work!

  • DMM, easily!

  • The memory man won on everything except slapback, which went to the Malekko.

  • @Ilovemyfender2 Haha but for me I don't really care for slapback anyways so DMM all the way ! :)

  • Does the Malekko use MN chips like the DMM and AD999?

  • the dmm rules in delay,

but i loved the malekko self ocsilation! just so awesome!

  • DMM rules over these pawns.

  • did you guys have these pedals running through the effects loop or directly in front of the amp?

  • No effects loop on this amp, in front the old fashioned way.

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos was there an effects loop in front of your face at the end?

  • The Memory Man sounds the best in this video, but I would pick the Malekko over it due to the smaller size.

  • it sounds like the self oscillation is a lot more useable on the echo 600. the oscillation on the DMM is way too bassy. Both the deluxe memory man and the echo 600 leave the maxon delay in the dust though. the electro hamonix and malekko pedals are pretty much neck and neck on everything else.

  • EHX!!!!!!!!!!!

  • malekko should keep the sound but add the features of the TC nova delay!

  • the oscilations on DMM sounds like a smooking car engine! Freakin awesome! The DMM wins, by far, this comparation.

  • will you guys sell the ad-999 PRO ?

  • malekko -- more features, small footprint, good sound

DMM --- cool modulation options, classic pedal

AD999 -- loads of delay time in an intuitive format.

All sound quite good-- i'm waiting for the 919 or the 616 to come out before i judge.

  • funny how three differant people will prefer differant choices... at some point ..its subjective, after the quality and functions is considerd.. just wish i could get a diamond memorry lane 2!!! dammit!

  • yeah. The memory lane is awesome. It's just that i have a problem with only having 550 ms of delay time. That's just not enough.

  • Malekko sounds worst than the others. Clipping/over amplification. The Maxon was nice, but a little on the dull side. I say the memory man is king of this comparo.

  • IMO, the Malekko 600 stands out the most with ease, but all 3 are great.

  • I looked at a million delay pedals before setteling on the Melekko Dark, expression input a must have feature!!!

  • i hate Maxon pedals. They are Ibanez copiers

  • You are kidding of course. Maxon made and designed the whole Ibanez line at the beginning of the lines. Maxon just makes similar designs that are greatly improved over the Ibanez mass market stuff. Check the facts.

  • Maxon=before Ibanez

    Ibanez=after Maxon

    Ibanez=Maxon copiers

  • I'd say that it's the Malekko or DMM definitely but probably the Malekko.

  • AD999 warmer and rounder than the other two.

  • EHX DMM: Most clarity, repeats don't degrade as much, but more noise / has modulation

Malekko: Most low-fi, repeats degrade most, a bit too harsh in long repeats. similar sound to Diamond Memory Lane

AD999: Warmest, long repeats stay musical, most delay time.

The Analogman Delay has the best oscillation and low-fi tone out there. The DMM is king of clear analog modulation, and the AD999 is one of the warmest and most musical.

  • I would love a "more" boost shootout - the Durham Sex Drive, Retrosonic FA-1, and Diamond boost.

  • Memory Man all the way baby...

better clarity on the delay... and modulation features...

  • Well, the DMM wins in my opinion, but I also love the small footprint of the Malekko.

  • Hey guys glad to see your comparison videos are back. I enjoy watching all your videos by far the best on the web. I have a request for a distortion comparison - Maxon D&S, Retro Sonic and a Keeley Mod DS-1. Well thanks for considering my request and like always keep up the good work.

  • DMM

  • D M M !

  • memory man

  • What kind of cables do you use?? Awesome video!!

  • Sweet Demo! I love it

  • I agree with the guy below me Maxon is getting away with murder and of all their pedals I've tried and demos I've heard they just don't stand out in any way. I would call Maxon a good no frills company but nothing to write home about. The DMM swept the floor with both these pedals. Just my opinion.

  • 600 owns

  • Imitation is the most sincere form of flattery. Every delay emulator had a Memory Man setting on it. The 600 is cool in it's own right, though!

  • Personally, I find almost all of Maxon's pedals to be overpriced, with very little character. I thought that the Memory Man had the most vintage, analog sound (which I love) but that may be because I'm a sucker for everything EHX makes. The Malekko was pretty good sounding too, but I would take the MM over the other two any day. Great comparison video, you should make more, maybe a wah, tremolo, and chorus.

  • dmm oscillation kicked ass and sounded better overall

  • ha. nice touch at the end =)

  • I'm down with the Malekko Echo also. Way more character than the other two. Much cooler sounding oscillation.

  • Memory man is noisy and overloads too quick. The E600 has a lot of character, love it!!!

  • I'm going memory man on this one.

  • dmm!

  • memory man, definitely.

  • definetly the echo 600

  • Glad to see the comparison vidz up again! They all sound better than the cheaper analog delays. I guess it depends on how you want your repeats to fade out.

  • Memory man won for me.

  • first veiw
