Near Charlotte NC they caught a drug runner with an older Viper and they use it as an interceptor couldnt tell it was a cop until i saw it in a parking lot and you could see the strobe bar, pretty neat interceptor

Ky has a maroon one all decked out..totally bitching and a real nice cop driving it. I spoke to him for a bit and he told me I would be surprised how many people still try to drag race or outrun him even though the vette is completely decked out and says police all over it..

The State asked people that where coming to the corvette Caravan to volunteer to put logos and lights on there corvettes to led the caravans since there where so many. It didn't coast the State anything because the museum paid the everything. It was a great time and Kentucky has some real nice people there.

these are vettes that people "donate" to the KSP for a day or two for the Corvette Day thing.

The KSP just puts temporary lights and graphics on them to escort a parade type deal.

I plan to be a Kentucky State Trooper, and I am next to positive they wouldn't let these be pursuit vehicles, even if they were real squad cars.

Wake County NC just got an 08 Z06 in a drug bust. Put lights and radar in it and you can't pick the damn thing out from a lineup of other Corvettes if you were walking right beside them.

The Cops here have plain wrapper Tahoes, Escalades, Challengers, Chargers, STI's, an old 70's Chev pick used for radar, Marauders, and I am sure more vehicles.

These where just done for Sept. 3rd for the 09 corvette caravan. All decals where removed that night except one they left decaled and it sat inside the corvette museum. Yes the yellow really stands out but if he's after you, just pull over. Thanks!!

@98vetman They two towards the end are actual State Troopers. If you notice, the yellow and last silver one have KSP tags on the back of them. The Yellow one is stationed in Dry Ridge Ky and regularly patrols interstate 75. Most of these expensive sports cars that KSP has (Cobras, Trans am, Camaros, and Vettes) are all either confiscated or donations. KSP has 12 Vettes on the roads regularly. :-)

i think these police corvettes were special made for this day as safetycars cuz maybe than was there a convoy of all corvettes on the highways,roads etc or not? sry i think only so. i wasn't there so :D

Yes, they where made just for this day. There where around 200 corvettes in my caravan from Ohio. Some caravans for other states had over a 1000 corvettes. There where corvettes from Mexico and from Canada. I met a lot of nice people from all over. It was a great time!!
