  • I agree with Hoopskidoodle.I'll go further & say,I've seen Madeleine live,&,although,at times in her concert,she was a mesmerizing performer,overall,I think her recordings are better than her live performances.When she sang "Dance Me To The End Of Love",it was almost unrecognizable from the fabulous studio version.She's talented,but,as a jazz singer myself,it seems to me that she loses focus a bit in live performance.Should I use the word "lazy"?Perhaps.

  • I love Edith's version too. Madeliene's cover is just as beautiful. She sounds great live.

  • This doesn't do her studio version justice. I'm just going to come right out and say it. Madeleine Peyroux's studio version of "La Vie en Rose" is better than Edith Piafs. That's right, I said it.

  • i love her singing. this is a wonderful cover of a beautiful song.
